Retro Accounting Payroll


Users can manually trigger retro calculation from the Payroll Driver

This is used to recalculate specific periods based on changes to configuration that do not automatically trigger a retro calculation Example: changes to tax configuration in IMG

The Forced retro. accounting as of field is used for this purpose

When payroll detects a retroactive change or is forced to recalculate to a specific date, it performs the following steps:
1. Determines which pay periods need to be recalculated (based on dates of changes/forced date) 2. Reruns the entire payroll process for each employee in those periods, creating a new result based on CURRENT master data and configuration. 3.Creates a new payroll result for the employee, which becomes the current or valid result for that period 4.All payroll reports, including Tax Reporter, read the CURRENT and PRIOR results wherever recalculations exist
