Tomorrow is our kindergarten track

and field day.

I hope you will be able to join us for that fun event. We will be serving a simple hot dog lunch with chips and fruit for those able to attend.

Zoo-Phonics News
Does your child have a favorite book he/she would like read in class? Or would you like to come in and read a story to us? Send (or bring) it in and well take turns reading books of your childs choosing.

Please still send a morning snack for your child and be sure he/she is dressed
appropriately. Tennis shoes are strongly recommended.

Weve begun tracking how many pockets we are wearing each day.

Completed for the month of May can be sent in whenever 20 boxes are complete so your child can claim a prize from our treasure chest.

Other Classroom News


This week we will learn about the power of prayer as God miraculously releases Peter from jail. We will also learn never to give up on people because God can change peoples hearts as He did with the miraculous calling of the Apostle Paul. Last week we did some interesting science experiments. We tested different black markers for water resistance and noticed the colors separating in the non-water resistant kinds. We also learned about viscosity as we raced marbles through various liquids: water, vegetable oil, corn syrup and honey. Learning about the way God made the world work is so much fun!

Friday, May 25, is Who Can Wear the Most Pockets Day. Last year the student with the most had 29! I
think his Grandma got creative and added a few pockets to his outfit that day.

Our end-of-year field trip to Happy Hollow is next week Thursday, May 31. This is an extended day for the Jr. K. We will not return until 3 PM. If
