jr:J that he did then and there intentionally and knowingly deliver hydrocodone, in the form of
pills, to your affiant Fort Worth Police Officer JC Williams.'#3603, including any adulterants
and dilutants.
My belief is based upon the follo,ving facts and information:
1. That your affiant, Officer;jC Williams #3603, has been a Fort Worth Police for
overfive(5) years and is cl.Jrrently assigned to the Special Operations Division, Narcotic
Section. Your affiantiscurrently assigned as a Narcotics Investigator with the Fort Worth
Police Department Special Operations Division Narcotics Unit. During your affianfs
career as a peace officer, your affiant has gained experience and training in the'
detection, investigation, and apprehension of suspects who possess, distribute, or
manufacture narcotics. Your affiant has participated in all of the normal methods of
investigation, including but not limited to, electronic and visual surveillance, general
questioning of suspects, victirns;andwitnesses, the use of search warrants, the usebf
confidential informants, and, ttie use of undercover officers/agents.
2. That on or about the 3
rd
day of November, 4011, your affiant began aninvestigation of
illegal narcotic sales from a subject (later identified as Austin Michael
Carpenter W/M 05/18/1992,). '
3. That on the 3
rd
day of November, 2011, your affiant was contacted by a confidential
informant and was informed that "Austin" was various types of opiate pills to students at
Texas Christian University.
4. That on the 3
rd
day of November, 2011, a confidential source of information contacted
Carpenter and set up a meeting for Carpenter and your affiant to meet at the CVS
parking lot at 2603 W. Berry St and informed him that your affiant wanted to buy "15
dones" (street terminology for hydrocodone pills) and 4 "bars" (street terminology for
alprazolam) pills for $100.00. At approximately 3:33pm, I arrived at the CVS parking lot
and met with Carpenter, who arrived in a maroon F-150, bearing TXLP _. I
exited my vehicle and got in Carpenter's truck. Carpenter introduced himself as "Austin"
and pulled out a plastic baggy containing yellow oval pills (ITEM1) and yellow
rectangular pills (ITEM2), which through training and experience, looked similar to

hydrocodone and alprazolam pills. Carpenter said, "This is the last of what I have for
now..... 15 hydrocodones and 4 "bars". Carpenter told me that he was still trying to find a
new "connect" for some more "hydrocodones". I asked Carpenter, "How much?"
Carpenter said, "It was $100.00". I then gave Carpenter $100.00 of US Currency for
ITEM 1 and ITEM 2. I asked Carpenter if I could call him later if I wanted more and he
, agreed. I th.en left this location.

5. That' the 3
rd
day of November, 2011, I ran the license' platEdor tlie truck that
Carpenter was driving, which came back to a,"Beth Carpenter". Believing this car to be
possibly owned by his parents, I ran the name "Austin Carpenter" through the FWPD
and DPS databases. One of the results came back to an "Austin Michael CarpenterW/M
05/18/1992, I looked up this DL photo from this subject and confirmed
that this was the same person from whom your affiant purchased Item #1 and ITEM #2.
6. That on the 15
th
day of December, 2011, Mike Fish, a .Chemist with the Fort Worth
Police Crime Lab, conducted an analysis of Item #1 and Item #2; The analysis was
conducted under lab# 11-06515-1 and revealed that Item # 1 contained 6.48 grams of
dihydrocodeinone, not more than 15mg per dosage unit and Item #2 contained 1.02GM
of alprazolam. ' .
7. That on 15
th
day of Februa'ry, 2012, your affiant showed the driver's license
of Carpenter (Austin Michael Carpenter, to a confidential informant, Wr1q
had originally given us information on Carpenter. The confidential informant confirmed.
that thiswa,sthe same subject who he had arranged the meeting with on 11/3/11, where:
I purchased hydrocodone and alprazolam.
8. That your affiantdocumented the details of this offense under Fort Worth Police report
number 11-113866.

career as a peace officer, your affiant has gained experience and training in the
detection, investigation, and apprehension of suspects who possess, distribute, or'
manufacture narcotics. Your affiant has participated in all of the normal methods ot
investigation, including but not limited to, electronic and visual surveillance, general
questioning of suspects, victims, and witnesses, the use of search warrants, the use of
confidential informants, and the use of undercover officers/agents.
2. That on or about the 3'd dayof November, 2011, your affiant began an investigation of
illegal narcotic sales from a subject named "Austin" (later identified as AUstin Michael
Carpenter W/M 05/18/1992,). .
3. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, your affiant was contacted by a confidential
informant and was informed that "Austin" was vari,ous types of opiate pills to students at
Texas Christian University.
4. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, a confidential source of ihformation contacted
Carpenter and set up a meeting for Carpenter and your affiant to meet at the CVS
parking lot at 2603 W, Berry St and informed him that your affiant wanted to buy "15
dones" (street terminology for hydrocodone pills) and 4 "bars" (street terminology for
alprazolam) pills for $100.00. At approximately 3:33pm, I arrived at the

number 11-113866.

any adulterants and dilutants; I,\iithin a Drug-Free Zone.
My belief is based upon the following facts and information:
1. That your affiant, OfficerJC Williams #3603, has been a Fort Worth Police Officer for
over five (5) years and is Currently assigned to the Special Operations Division, Narcotic
Section. Yqur affiant is cudently assigned as a Narcotics Investigator with the Fort Wqrth
Police Department Special Operations Division Narcotics Unit. During your affiant's
career>as a peace officer, your affiant has gained experience and training in the
detection, investigation, and apprehension of suspects who possess, distribute, or-
manufacture .narcotics. Your affiant has participated in ail of the normal methods of
investigation, including but not limited to, electronic and visual surveiilance, general
questioning ofsuspects, victims, and witnesses, the use of search warrants, the use of
confidential informants, and the use of undercover officers/agents.
2. That on or about the 3'd day6f November, 2011, your affiant began an investigation of
iilegal narcotic sales from a subject named "Austin" (later identified as Austin Michael
Carpenter WIM 05/18/1992). Your affiantreceived information from a confidential
informant that Carpenter was seiling variouslypes of opiate piilsto students at Texas
Christian University.
3. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, your affiant successfuily purchased
hydrocodone and alprazolam from Carpenter, which.was laterla,boratory tested and
confirmed to be hydrocodone and alprazolam. See details. on FWPD #11-113866.
4. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, I ran the license plate for the truck that
Carpenter was driving, which came back to a "Beth Carpenter". Believing this carto be
possibly owned by his parents, I ran the name "Austin Carpenter" through the FWPD
and DPS databases. One of the results came back to an "Austin Michael Carpenter W1M
05/18/1992, D L ~ I looked up this DL photo from this subject and confirmed
that this was the same person from whom your affiant purchased the hydrocodone and
alprazolam on 11/3/11.

5. That on the yth day of November, 2011, your affiant continued an investigation of illegal
narcotic sales from Carpenter. Carpenter contacted your affiant and told me that he had
just gotten in some "lean" (common street terminology for promethazine/codeine cough
syrup) and was selling it for $20 an ounce, as well as some hydromorphone pills. I told
hirnJhat I would buy 4 ounces of the, cough syrup and 2 of the hydromorphone pills.
'Catpenter agceed'to sell all of it to me for $'110,00 and he iNOllrd throw in two
hydrocodone' pills for Jree. Carpenter toldli1e to meet him at the Kroger parking lot.
6. That on the yth day of November, 2011, at approximately 1: 14pni, I arrived at the Kroger
parking lot at 3120 S. University Dr, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, TX: Carpenter
contacted me and told me that he was in his red F-150 from the last time we met. I
walked over to his truck and got in the bacK passenger seat. I observed Carpenter as
the driver and another W/M that introduced hilllself as "Ryan" in the front passenger
seat. Carpenter immediately pulled out a plastic baby bottle filled with athick purple
liquid, which from training; and experience, looked similart6 couQQsyrtipc;ontaining
codeine (ITEM 1) and handed itto me. Carpenter said, "Here's like 4 and a half ounces".
I told him that I only had.$120.00 and didn't have change. I then handed Carpehter
$120.00 of US Currency. qarpenter said, "I'll give you an extra couple of more vicodins".
I said that was ok. Carpenter then pulled out a cloth sack and pulled out some white pills
and put themin aplastic baggy. Carpenter said that he and "Ryan" had already takeh,a
fewourlces of the codeine syrup and said that it was good. Carpenter then handed me
the plastic baggy containing two oval white pills with "Watson 385" on them (ITEM 2)
and twowh,ite oval pills with "M358" on them (ITEM 3). Carpetner referred to them as
"vikes". In the' same baggie, I observed two small circular pills with "M" on one side and'
"4" on the othef(ITEM 4). Carpenter said that ITEM 4 were 4mg "hydromorphine" pills.;
Carpenter then described the best way to use them was for me to crush them up and
snort them. After some conversation about using other types of opiates, I eventuplly left
this location.'
7. That on the 16
th
day of December, 2011,Cherish Harmon, a Cheplist with the Fort
Worth Police Crime Lab, conducted an analysis of Item #1 - #4,' The analysis was
conducted under lab# 11-07293 and revealedtQat Item # 1 cOQtained 155.77 GM of
dextromethorphan, Item #2 contained 1.42 GMpf dihydrocodeinone, not more than
15mg per dosage unit, ITEM #3 contained 1.27 Grvlof not more than
15mg per dosage unit, and ITEM #4 contained 0.31. GM of hydromorphone.
8. That your affiant has conducted research using google maps and maps relating to
properties owned, rented, or leased by Texas Christian University (an institution of
higher learning and listed Drug-Free Zone under 481.134 (b)). Your affiant has
concluded that the Kroger grocery store parking lot located at 3120 S. University Dr. is

deliver hydromorphone to your.affiant Fort Worth PoliceOfficer'JC Williams #3603,
including any adulterants and dil,utants; within a DrugcFrE;Je Zone.
My belief is based upon the following facts and information:

1. That your affiant, OfficerqC Williams #3603, has been a Fort Worth Police Officer for
over,tivE} (5) yearsand is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division, Narcotic
Section. Youraffiarit is currently assigned as a Narcotics Investigator with the Fort Wqcth
Policepepartment Special Operations Division Narcotics Unit. During your affiant;s
career'as. a peace officer, your affiant has gained experience and training in the'
detection; .ii')yestigation, and apprehension of suspects who possess, distribute, or
manufacture nqrcotics. Your affiant has participated in all of the normal methods of
investigation, inc;luding but not limited to, electronic and visual surveillance, genercll
questioning of suspects, victims, and witnesses, the use of search warrants, the useol
confidential informapts, and the use of undercover officers/agents.
2. That on or about the 3
rd
day of November,2011, your affiant began Cjn investigation of
illegal narcotic sales from a subject named "Austin" (later identified as Austin Michael
Carpenter W/M 05/18/1992). Your affiant received information,from a confidential
informant that Carpenter was selling various typ'es of opiate students at Texas
Christian University. .'
3. That on the 3
rd
day of November, 2011, your affiant suce;:essfully purchased
hydrocodone and alprazolam from Carpenter, whichwaSlatE;Jr laboratory tested and
confirmed to be hydrocodone and alprazolam. See details on FWPD #11-113866.
4. That on the 3
rd
day of November, 2011, I ran the license plate for the truck that
Carpenter was driving, which came back to a "Beth Carpenter". Believing this car to be
possibly owned by his parents, I ran the name "Austin Carpenter" through the FWPD
and DPS databases. One of the results'came back to an "Austin Michael CarpenterW/M
05/18/1992, I looked up this DL photo from this subject and confirmed
that this was the same person from whom your affiant purchased the hydrocodone and
alprazolam on 11/3/11.

5. That on the i

day of November, 2011, your affiant continued an investigation of illegal
narcotic sales from Carpenter. Carpenter contacted your affiant and told me that he had
just gotten in some "lean" (common street terminology for promethazine/codeine cough
syrup) and was selling it for $20 an ounce, as well as some hydromorphone pills. I told
.' him tl18t I would buy 4 ounces of the cough syrup and 2 of the hydrbmorphone pills.
Caq:ieriTer agreed to sell all of it to me for $110.00 and he would throw in two
hydrocodone pills for free, Carpenter told me to meet himat the Kroger parking lot.
6. That on the i
h
day of November, 2011, at approximately 1:14pm,1 arrived at the Kroger
parking lot at 3120 S. University Dr, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, TX. Carpenter
contacted me and,told me that he was in'his red F-150 from the last time we met. I
walked over to his truck and got in the back passenger seat. I observed Carpenter as
the driver and another W/M that introduced himself as "Ryan" in the frol1t passenger
seat. Carpenter immediately pulled out a plastic baby bottiefille.cl.witha thick purple
liquid, which from training] and experience, looked similar to cough syrup contaioing
codeine (ITEM 1) and handed it to me. Carpenter said, "Here's like 4 and a half ounces".
I told him that I only had $120.00 and didn't have change. I then handed Carpenter
$120.00 of US Currency. Carpenter said, "I'll give you an extra couple of more vicodins".
I saidthatwasok. Carpenter then pulled out a cloth sack and pulled out some whitepilis
and put them in a plastic baggy. Carpenter said that he and "Ryan" had already taken'C!
few ounces of the codeine syrup and said that it was good. Carpenter then handed mEl.
the plastic baggy containing two oval white pills with "Watson 385" on them (ITEM 2)
and two white, oval pills with "M358" on them (ITEM 3). Carpetner referred to them as,
"vikes". In the Same baggie, I observed two small circular pills with "M" on one side amj;
"4" on the other (ITEM 4). CarpEil1ter said that ITEM 4 were 4mg "hydromorphine" pills';
Carpenter then deScribed thEibest way to use them was for me to crush thenll,lp and
snort them. After so";'e conversation abou.t using other types of opiates, I eventually left
this location.
7. That on the 16
th
day of December, 2011, Cherish Harmon, a ChElmist with the Fort
Worth Police Crime Lab, conducted an analysis of Item #1 - #4. The analysis was
conducted under lab# 11-07293 and revealed that Item # 1 contained 155.77 GM of
dextromethorphan, Item #2 contained 1.42 GM of dihydrocodeinone, not more than
15mg per dosage unit, ITEM #3 contained 1.27 GM of dihydrocodeinone, not more than
15mg per dosage unit, and ITEM #4 contained 0.31 GM oLbydromorphone.
8. That your affiant has conducted research using google maps and maps relating to
properties owned, rented, or leased by Texas Christian University (an institution of
higher learning and listed Drug-Free Zone under 481.134 (b)). Your affiant has
concluded that the Kroger grocery store parking lot located at 3120 S. University Dr. is
, withinapR.roximately 500feet of property owned"rented; or leased by TCU,inciuding but

3. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, your affiant successfully purchased
hydrocodone and alprazolam from Carpenter, which'Nas later tested and
confirmed to be hydrocodone and alprazolam. See detailson.FWPD #11-113866.
4. That on the 3'd day of November, 2011, I ran the license plate for the truck that

narcotic sales from Carpenter. On this day, your affiant successfully purchased
dextromethorphan and dihydrocodeinone from Carpenter, which was later laboratory
tested and confirmed to be dextromethorphan and dihydrocodeinone. See details on

6.'; That 'on the 16
th
day of November, 2012; your affiant continued an investigation of illegal
narcotic sales from Carpenter; I contacted Carpenter earlier in the day and asked if I
could get some oxycotin. Carpenter said he could get some and to meet him at the
Kroger around 1:00. Carpenter and I agreed for me to purchase 4 oxycotin pills for
$110.00. At approximately 1:16pm, I arriveq at the Kroger parking'lot at 3120 S.
University Dr, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, TX. Carpenter contacted me and told me that
he was in his red F-150 from the last time we met. I walked over to his truck and got in
the front passenger seat. Carpenter immediately pulled out a plastic baggy containing 4
prescription pills, which I believed to be oxycotin(ITEM 1), and handed ITS:M 1 to me. I
told Carpenter that I had djdn't have change and haridedhim USCurn:!ncy
for ITEM 1. Carpenter saidthat he would give me another pill since he did not havEJ:any
change. Carpenter said he was about to pick up 50 more hydrocodones if I wanted
to buy any more. After a short conversation, I left this location.
7. Thaton the.1 7t!J day oLNovember, 2011, Sharon R Patlon, a Chemist with the "Port
Worth police Crime Lab, conducted an analysis of Item 1. The analysis was conducted
under lab# 11-06783 and revealed that Item # 1 weighed 0.77 GM. Of these 5 tablets,
one tabletwas analyzed and contained 0.15 grams of oxycodone.
8. That your affiant has conducted research using google maps and maps relating tq
properties owned, rented, or by Texas Christian University (an institutionoL
higher learning Clpd Zone under 481.134 (b)). Your affiar;lt has
concluded that the storepflrking lot located at 3120 S. University Dr. is
