Our Sun Bender MK-IV is a blueprinted version of the old Sola Sound / Colorsound / VOX Tone Benders that had three germanium transistors and a TONE knob. These are known as MK-III and MK-IV versions, also known as "thin case" Tone-Benders. Some RotoSound and Park fuzz pedals also used this circuit.
1. True bypass on / off switch, no loss of tone when off.
2. Battery disconnected when INPUT cord is removed. Input is on the right like most normal pedals. 3. Positive ground pedal. If you share power with a normal pedal (negative ground), you will destroy the power supply. Optional power jack is normal polarity, (center negative). 4. Battery should be a cheap non-alkaline general purpose battery, as found in dollar stores. 5. For best sound, this effect should not have any buffers or non-true bypass effects between it and the guitar. 6. Volume and Fuzz knobs need no explanation. 7. Tone knob is reversed to normal, down for bass, up for treble.
