The Japanese art of amigurumi is adorable, and one you absolutely must
try. Typically worked in spiral rounds and featuring sweet animal designs,
the technique leaves a sturdy, hard-wearing finish that is fantastic for
little ones and appealing to our inner child as well. Here, Irene Strange’s
three crochet chums are just the thing to kickstart your
amigurumi affair — and if you’re feeling imaginative,
try using the basic shapes to add details of your
own and make up your favourite animal.
