1. Objective of InnerVision

Improve Customer Satisfaction

Minimize System Downtime
Maintain Optimum System Performance

Increase profits
Savingtime of repair and maintenance
Improve capture rate of maintenance contract

3
2. Why you need Remote Maintenance

Some troubles nowadays require the error log analysis to

investigate fault.

Without InnerVision, service engineers need to visit sites to

collect error log files for investigation. And after preparing
the parts, service engineers need to re-visit the site to
replace the parts. Or in case of very far places where
service engineers need to fly-in, he/she should wait at the
site for service parts arrival.

If remote maintenance is available, the first visit to collect

error log files can be eliminated which saves travel expense
and labor hours or unnecessary long stay.

4
2. Why you need Remote Maintenance

In addition to the troubleshooting, remote maintenance

will be able to help to improve the efficiency and/or
profitability of your organization through advanced
functions, such as (a) software update by remote, (b)
provision of utilization report as added value.

5
3. Why you need InnerVision
If you install any software not validated onto our
equipment such as Remote Desk Top software, it is
considered as illegal modification of equipment.

As distributor agreement clearly describes, we do not give

any warranty if equipment is illegally modified.

Installing any software onto equipment may affect the

equipment performance.

InnerVision is designed to access data securely without

affecting equipment performance.

6
3. Why you need InnerVision

IT security concerns are getting more and more serious. And

customers will not allow us to connect their equipment in their
facilities unless the network security is strong enough.
From IT security perspective, InnerVision is utilizing SSL/TLS
connection. InnerVision security has been verified by Toshiba
Corp IT Security Center.
TMSC adopts Axeda as a TAC.
(TAC: Technical Assistance Center)
Axeda incorporates an end-to-end security strategy covering
all levels, including network, application, user, and data
security. Axeda has attained ISO 27001:2013 certification,
supporting the company’s focus on delivering the highest
levels of security, performance, and availability of the Axeda
M2M Cloud Service.

3. Why you need InnerVision
We hear rumors that independent service providers (3rd
party) might connect their PC at the office directly to our
equipment using FTP or Telnet through Internet. This gives
serious danger to the equipment from IT security point of
view.

Personal information protection is globally necessary.

InnerVision will automatically mask personal information

such as patient name and patient ID when retrieving the
data from site.

 Secure network communication;
Encrypts the data by SSL transmission.
Even if they are intercepted communications, decryption is impossible.
⇒ Block eavesdropping and spoofing.
 Attack deterrence from external;
All communication is the mechanism that starts from the equipment side.
Global IP address to the equipment side is not required.
⇒ The equipment is not visible from the outside.
 Internet access;
Unnecessary dedicated line such as a VPN. Use hospital Internet line.

 No need to change the existing network environment at the hospital;

Communication protocol is only of the Internet standard HTTP / HTTPS.
Special configuration changes to the Firewall at the hospital is not required.
⇒ Does not occur Firewall of vulnerability.

Alert
Modality outputs error log to InnerVision at Power
ON/OFF so that internal minor troubles can be detected
for proactive/scheduled maintenance.

Real time alert

Modality outputs error message and corresponding
error log to InnerVision when problem happens to
notify you of immediate retroactive maintenance.

Remote desktop
Modality console can be shared and remote interaction
is possible (excluding energy generation and
mechanical movement) for remote application support
and remote parameter setting change.

7. Important Notice
InnerVision hardware/software is not saleable to the
customer but is installed with remote maintenance contract
with the customer.

If the customer agrees to the contract, SP is installed in their

facility but SP must be kept as subsidiary/distributor
