4. Interactive Discussion

Class, I will let you have another

activity today, though I know that you
really understand our lesson well.
Now let us play the game called
“Rhyme Manhunt”. I will provide the
lyrics of Jack and Jill Nursery rhyme.

What you will do is look for all the

words that rhymes. I will group you
into 2 groups. Whoever will have
many words found will be the winner.
Of course there is a prize for that! Are Yes Sir!
you ready?

Now count 1 and 2 only…All

numbers 1 will be group 1 and all
numbers 2 will be group two. Group
1 will be there and group two will be
there too. Now everyone go to your
respective groups! I will be the judge
for this activity. Each group will give
me the words that rhyme, in just one
setting. I will count 1,2,3 for you to
start and then after 3 minutes,
everybody must stop. You select
among yourself who will represent
your group to give all the rhyme
words that you found…as to who will
give the answer first, will be in the
first come first serve basis. The one
who will answer will only be given
10 seconds to answer. Do we agree to Yes, Sir!
that condition?

So here’s the Nursery Rhyme…Now

the counting starts now…1,2,3 Start!

Jack & Jill went up the hill Each group is now busy looking for the
to fetch a pail of water. rhyme words.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
and Jill came tumbling after.
Jack & Jill went up the hill
to fetch a pail of water.
Jill fell down and broke her crown
and Jack came tumbling after.

Time is Up! As to determine who will

answer first…after the count of three,
the representative will run to me.. the
first to reach in front of me will be the
one to answer first…1,2,3!

Okey, group 2 comes first…so just 10 Group 2: Jill-hill; Jill-pail
