Conclusion:
In this experiment, we have designed a single stub shunt and single stub series matching
circuit using Smith Software for simulated results. It is observed that there is more deviation in
results of series problem as compared to shunt problem. We have calculated the parameters
distance from load to stub and length of stub.

Post Lab Subjective Questions

1. List advantages, applications and limitations of double stub matching.

Advantage:
Single stub can match any load impedance (having a positive real part) to a
transmission line, but suffers from the disadvantage of requiring a variable length
of line between the load and the stub. Hence, double stub matching can be used,
using 2 stubs in fixed positions.

Limitation:
Double Stub matching cannot match all load impedances.

Application:
Double stubs are often fabricated in coaxial line with adjustable stubs connected
in shunt to the main coaxial line.
