NARRATIVE REPORT
IN-SERVICE TRAINING DAY 5

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me


and I learn” (Benjamin Franklin).
In line with the Department’s commitment to upgrade the quality
and competence of teaching and teaching-related personnel congruent
with professional standards, the In-Service Training (INSET) SY 2024-2025
was conducted on November 25-29, 2024.
On the 5th day of the training, dated November 29, 2024, it was
facilitated by the Grade 2 teachers, the day commenced with a moment of
reflection and unity, as everyone joined in the singing of nationalistic song
followed by a prayer. It was followed by the lively checking of attendance
through a Singing Bee Contest led by Mrs. Erma B. Cortes, Teacher II. To
infuse energy into our session hall and prepare everyone for the day
ahead, an invigorating energizer session was conducted.
Rudylyn C. Reyes, the esteemed Teacher-In-Charge of the day
graced the session with her opening remarks. Her words resonated with
experience, setting a positive and encouraging moments.
It was then followed by the first topic of the day entitled Building
Secure Learning Environment was discussed by Mrs. Vilma Peldonia,
Master Teacher I. The session was harmonious blend of formality and
informality, creating an environment that encouraged active participation
and open sharing of ideas. It was indeed a very relevant and engaging
discussion. The second topic “Approaches to Action Research for
Improved Classroom Practices” was discussed by Mrs. Melina D. Arceo,
Teacher III. After the discussion, teachers were given time to do their
outputs and presented it on time.
In the afternoon, the closing program started at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Jan
Reymund T. Cabiten, Teacher III and Mrs. Melissa A. Siodina, Master
Teacher I gave their impressions about the 5-day In-Sevice Training. It
was followed by the giving of the challenge to the participants by Mrs.
Vilma C. Peldonia and acceptance of the challenge by Mrs. Marsha
Delotavo, Teacher III. The training ended with giving of the certificates to
the participants

It was a fruitful 5-Day In-service Training for all the SSES teachers.
The day concluded with a renewed spirit for teaching, an enhanced
understanding of the pedagogical approaches and effective strategies and
teachers ready to embark on another teaching-learning journey ahead.
