Encounter exploration of the Surface of Blackstone Fortress

Endeavor lesser

Objectives

Find the captured agent on the station 400 xp

In this encounter, the explorers will get to the 7th mile tavern and can ask around for the agent.
Soon after, a group of 5 scum and 2 hired guns will begin to insult the characters for bringing
xenos as company. A fight will break out and the scum will fight
After the fight is over, a general description of the rogue trader will be provided by a paper in one
of the corpses. If any flee they can be followed, if not the barkeep can tell them of the gang that
occasionally kidnap operatives of captains and ransoms them. The explorers will have to search for
the gang and negotiate or fight to get their agent back

Board the fortress and find the relic 400 xp

The explorers will have to take a small boarding craft and search for an open entrance, failing that
find a hangar for their plane. Once inside, a series of corridors will have to be circulated through in
order to get to the relic

There are 3 complications for this mission

1. As they walk through the fortress they will come across a corridor with automated
defenses The weapon is a heavy flamer a sign of this will be a series of charred corpses
along the corridor
2.

3.

The combat will consist of 4 genestealers, as well as 8 mutants and a mutant abomination

The treasure itself is a Chaos Pistol (Base Profile: Pistol; 30m; S/2/–; 1d10+4 I; Pen 2; Clip 5; Reload
2 Full; 3kg)
the weapon itself is cursed with the Bloodlust trait Cursed, this weapon is bound to chaos and
death by its very fate—a fate any foolhardy enough to carry it must eventually share. For it is a
weapon, a tool of destruction, and it does not discriminate between friends and foes so long as
there is blood for it to drink. Increase the weapon’s Damage and Penetration by 4. It gains the
Tearing Quality if it does not already have it. However, whenever its wielder draws it, he enters a
Frenzy (see the Frenzy Talent on pages 98–99 of the Rogue Trader Core Rulebook) as a Free
Action. This Frenzy does not end until he has slain a living creature with the weapon, and slaked its
thirst—for now. If it is a Ranged Weapon, then the wielder ignores the usual penalty to Ballistic
Skill from being Frenzied, and may choose to fire the weapon instead of moving towards a foe or
making an All-Out Attack Action while Frenzied good craftsmanship

Quirk Zealous: This object is without sentiment or mercy (it is, after all, an inanimate object), to its
owner and his enemies alike. Tests made with this item can never gain a total bonus from
circumstantial effects greater than +30, but can never suffer a total penalty from circumstantial
effects greater than –30.

Ork Power Blade (Base Profile: Melee; 1d10+9 E; Pen 5; Unstable; 6kg)

This melee weapon is hefty, and designed to crush, impale, or otherwise perform its task in some
equally unsubtle fashion. Increase its Damage by 4 and double its weight. If it has the Balanced
Quality, it loses it. If it has the Power Field Quality, it loses it and gains the Unstable Quality. If it
already has the Unstable Quality, it also gains the Shocking Quality. The GM should also roll one
additional time on Table 2–35: Quirks (see page 92) for this weapon, and apply the result.
Common craftsmanship

Trusty: This item is widely known for its reliability. Once per game session, the owner of this item
may gain a +10 bonus to the next Test he makes with it (this is cumulative with any other bonuses
it provides)

Forgotten Xenos Reinforced Hauberk (Base Profile: Chest 5; 15kg)

This Armour is practical and effective, granting respectable protection without sacrificing freedom
of movement. Increase all Armour Points it provides by 1. If it covers the Head location, it comes
equipped with a photo-visor (see page 140 of the ROGUE TRADER Core Rulebook). If it is Power
Armour or Light Power Armour, it automatically comes equipped with a Jump Pack (see page 144
of the ROGUE TRADER Core Rulebook).

Find a buyer and sell it off

The contact will tell of a possible buyer they can meet off the planet Alderon

The contact will come aboard the ship with an escort and ask for the set of weapons and armor,
the team can hand them over with an increase of profit factor. Once the transaction is done the
buyer will tell them that his teams have found a cache of possible archaeotech on that planet, and
if brought these weapons they can earn more rewards.
