Answer all questions. Each question carries 10 marks. (10 x 10 = 100)

1. As a senior leader in a large organization, you are tasked with developing a comprehensive
employee engagement strategy. Apply both Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Herzberg's
Two-Factor Theory to design a program that addresses the diverse needs of employees.
Discuss how the strategy integrates elements from each theory and explain the expected
impact on overall employee satisfaction, motivation, and performance.
2. Imagine you are appointed as the CEO of a multinational corporation undergoing a major
organizational restructuring due to both financial challenges and a need for increased
innovation. The company operates in diverse markets, and teams are spread globally. As
part of your leadership strategy, you decide to implement different leadership styles in
various departments to address specific needs. How it will be?
3. Assume you are leading a complex IT project with a cross-functional team. Detail the
steps involved in setting standards for project timelines, budget adherence, and team
collaboration. How would you measure performance against these standards, and what
corrective actions would you take if any aspect deviates from the established norms?
4. Explain the different approaches to staffing with reference to international management.
5. You have been appointed as the HR manager of Ford India Pvt. Ltd. It proposes to hire
mechanical engineers for research and development department. What are the sources of
recruitment that you will consider? Also, develop a selection procedure for the same.
6. In detail, explain the importance of planning in the present Indian business environment.
Also highlight the different types of plans
7. What are the different bases of departmentation? Explain with suitable examples.
8. What is meant by training and development of employees? Explain the various training
techniques.
9. Define Communication. Why has communication assumed importance in modern
industrial organizations?
10. “To enhance the wealth generating capability of the enterprise in a globalizing environment,
delivering superior and sustainable stake holder value”.
Frame the strategic & tactical plans for ITC and functional/operational plans for any 2 departments
of your choice.
