    DIGICO QA REPORT

    Risk of Project Failure

    Summary

    DIGICO is developed on ORPOS Base Version 13.0.1. There were few areas where SKILLNET
    did customization like Pricing tab moved from Back Office to Central Office, Arabization of POS
    application, Currency Change, Application Look and Feel of POS application. QA did cover
    enough system testing (& still continue for couple of days, till UAT) and has tested Six Builds for
    all the modules and POS Arabic Orientation. We have covered complete functionality for all the
    modules mentioned in the functional specification and logged bugs (so far, count is 155 plus) in
    Bugzilla.

    Current Progress

    This is PIE chart for bugs according to their existing status in BUGZILLA.

    The above table consists of existing bug counts in BUGZILLA

    We covered DIGICO system testing using following test cases (850 +) as per modules,

    1. Testing of all the modules for multi store set up with DIGICO data.
    2. Testing of POS Arabization.
    3. Device Testing on DIGICO register.

    Planned Testing Ahead

    1. Testing of Item Serial Number Validation.


    2. Verification of the total logged defects.
    Testing of Item Serial Number Validation and verification of bugs will be done on the next build.
    Also planned are regression and ad-hoc testing and will try to cover entire application with
    system testing.

    Major Milestones – (17/06/2009 to 12/08/2009)

    1. System testing of all the modules with base data except Pricing for Single Store set up.
    2. System testing of all the modules including Pricing with base data for single store set up.
    3. POS Arabic Orientation.
    4. System testing of all the modules with DIGICO data with multi store setup.
    So far System Testing of all the modules for multi store set up with DIGICO data is done for two
    Builds and four Builds were tested with base data.
    Reported around 155 defects out of those “3” are Blockers,”29” Critical and “90” Major.

     Risks identified for the following modules or areas


    1. Pricing tab move from BO to CO.
    2. Pricing DIMP
    3. Orientation on POS application on switching user from English to Arabic and vice
    versa.
    4. Base 13.0.1 POS, CO and BO application issues.
    5. Bugs logged for all the 6 builds which were base bugs (Oracle Issues) may reoccur
    during UAT, so care should be taken for all the known and logged issues.
    .

     Mitigation plan to minimize the risks mentioned

    1. We still have a few cycles to test the build


    2. We will focus more on the major areas where the risk is (e.g. Complete POS and
    Pricing Functionality, POS Arabic Orientation)
    3. Additional coverage with testing with DIGICO data (with some testing with base data)
    4. With regression and ad-hoc testing we will try to cover entire application
    5. Get an acceptable agreement with Oracle for base issues (SR)
