ANKIT: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Our esteemed Chief Guest, , Principal
Capt. Subroto Khan; Vice Principal & Engineering Head Mr. Milind Kulkarni; Head of
Nautical Studies; our Course In-Charge, Mr. Satish Chandra Upadhyaya; faculty members,
instructors,
administrative staff, librarian, families of cadets, and my fellow cadets. I am Cadet Ankit, and I
am Cadet Gautam, from the passing out batch, GME 59. It gives us immense pleasure to host this
momentous event—our Passing Out Ceremony.
Today marks a significant milestone in our lives as we stand on the threshold of a new journey
as proud Graduate Marine Engineers of The Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies. This
ceremony is the culmination of our hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Let us begin by getting to know our chief guest, . I now invite our Principal,
Capt. Subroto Khan, to introduce him.
GAUTAM: Thank you, Captain Khan, for the introduction. We are honoured to have
with us today. Please give him a warm round of applause.
Next, I would like to invite our source of inspiration, our Course In-Charge, Mr. Satish Chandra
Upadhyaya, to present a brief report on our batch.

Now, I would like to call upon Cadet Adnan Khan from the GME 59 Batch to share his experience
at GEIMS and his thoughts on this special occasion.

ANKIT: Now, it’s time for the most awaited part of the program—the award ceremony for the
GME 59 batch. I invite , Capt. Subroto Khan, and Mr. Milind Kulkarni to come
forward for the award distribution.
1. The award for securing 1st position in academics will be presented by , and it goes to
Cadet Merugu Babu. Please give him a big round of applause.
2. The award for securing 2nd position in academics will be presented by , and it goes to
Cadet Akshay P. M. Let’s give him a big hand.
3. The award for securing 3rd position in academics will be presented by , and it goes to
Cadet Rohit Mundaragi. Let’s cheer for his hard work.
4. The award for the All-Rounder Cadet, sponsored by the Indian Register of Shipping with a cash
prize of Rs. 2000, will be presented by , and it goes to Cadet Shriyanth Pawar. Please
join us in applauding his excellent achievement.
5. The award for securing the highest grades in Naval Architecture and Ship Construction,
sponsored by DNV with a cash prize of Rs. 2000, will be presented by Capt. Subroto Khan, and it
goes to
Cadet Merugu Babu. Please give him a big hand.
GAUTAM: The award for securing the highest grades in Ship Safety and Environmental
Protection, sponsored by Lloyds with a cash prize of Rs. 5000, will be presented by Capt. Subroto
Khan, and it goes to Cadet Teja Mylapili. Please give him a huge round of applause.
The award for the Best Cadet in Marine Practical Skills, sponsored by KARCO with a cash prize of
Rs. 2000, will be presented by Capt. Subroto Khan, and it goes to Cadet Purvesh Tandel. Let’s
appreciate his achievement.
The award for Best Shipmate, with a cash prize of Rs. 2000, will be presented by Mr. Milind
Kulkarni, and it goes to Cadet Adnan Khan. This Best Shipmate is chosen by the cadets themselves.
Please give him a big hand for his popularity.
The award for Best Cadet Captain will be presented by Mr. Milind Kulkarni, and it goes to Cadet
Abhay Singh Bhandari. Let’s applaud his dedicated service.
The award for Best Cadet Captain will be presented by Mr. Milind Kulkarni, and it goes to Cadet
Gautam Sreekumar. Please give him a big round of applause for his leadership.

us into our future endeavours.

GAUTAM: After such profound moments, it’s time for something entertaining that will bring a
smile to our faces. Yes, it’s time for the cultural program where our cadets will showcase their
talents. We request the dignitaries to kindly be seated in the front row.
The highlight of today’s event will now be a short video showcasing our experiences and journey at
GEIMS.
I’m sure we all enjoyed that thoroughly. A big thank you to the team behind this wonderful

For the final performance of the event, we have the talented cadets from the GME 59 batch, who
will perform a group dance. Please put your hands together to inspire them to do their best.
Now, I would like to call upon our Vice Principal & Engineering Head, Mr. Milind Kulkarni, to
render the customary vote of thanks.

We would like to invite the dignitaries, authorities, and faculty to join the GME 59 batch for a photo

ANKIT: As we conclude this event, I wish all my fellow cadets the very best in all their future
endeavors. This moment is the culmination of our shared efforts and aspirations, and as we part
ways today, let us carry forward the values and friendships we have forged here. This is your host,
