3 、The difference between analog electricity and digital
electricity

The input and output signal types of the circuit are different
Analog electricity: a signal is a continuous function of time.
Digital electricity: signals are digital signals 0 and 1

Different requirements for circuit

Analog electricity: the circuit is required to realize the amplification,
transformation and generation of analog signals.
Digital electricity: it is a certain logical relationship between the
digital quantities of input and output.

Fundamentals of electronic technology 9

Different working areas
Analog electricity: triode is an amplification element, mainly
working in the amplification area.
Digital electricity: triode is used as a switch, working in the cut-off
area and saturation area.

Different analysis methods

Analog electricity: graphical method and equivalent circuit method
are usually used to analyze problems.
Digital electricity: logic algebra, truth table, Karnaugh chart and
other analysis methods are usually used.

ØAnalog signal: continuity. Most physical quantities are analog signals.

Analog circuit
Ø An analog circuit is a circuit that processes analog signals.
ØThe most basic processing is signal amplification. There are
amplification circuits with different functions and
performances.
ØOther analog circuits are mostly based on amplifier circuits.

Three、Course learning methods

1 、Grasp the solid foundation

 Electronic technology is developing rapidly, and the circuits

of various uses are unpredictable, but they contain the basic
principles and basic analysis and design methods are
interlinked.

 Strengthen the mastery of basic concepts, basic knowledge,

basic analysis methods, basic skills!

Fundamentals of electronic technology 14

2 、Focus on the key points
 Electronic technology involves a large number of
complex circuits, circuit internal structure and
internal working process vary greatly, especially the
internal structure of large-scale integrated circuit is
very complex.
 Special attention should be paid to mastering the
external characteristics and use methods!

3 、Pay attention to induction

 Learning the electronic technology course well needs
to master some typical circuits, because
 These typical circuits may be the components that
make up the entire system.

Fundamentals of electronic technology 15

4 、Strengthen practice

 The ultimate goal of learning in the basic course of

electronic technology is to analyze and design the actual
circuits.
5 、Highlight innovation

 The development of electronic technology is based on the

development of electronic devices. New devices emerge in
an endless stream. Some integrated circuit chips
appearing in textbooks may not be produced, so textbooks
should be used from the point of view of development.

 Actively participate in scientific and technological

innovation groups, various electronic competitions, etc.

Four、A brief history of the development of electronic technology

The development of electronic technology is largely reflected in

the development of components. From electronic tube,
semiconductor tube, integrated circuits

In 1906, Lee de Forrest of the United States
invented the vacuum triode

In 948, William Shockley, the father of

transistors, invented the first transistor

In 1958, Kilby made the first integrated circuit,

and six months later, Noyce made the
first silicon integrated circuit

• 1947 Bell Laboratory made the first transistor
• 1958 Integrated Circuit
• 1969 Large-scale integrated circuit
• 1975 Very large scale integration
The first integrated circuit had only four transistors,
compared with in 1997 an integrated circuit had four billion
transistors. Some scientists predict that integration will grow
by 10 times by six years.。

Learning of electronic technology courses should always

pay attention to the development of electronic
technology!

In 1906, Forrest et al. invented electronic

tubes; electronic tubes with large volume,
heavy weight, high power consumption,
and short life. It is currently used in some
high-power transmitters.

Circuit design method changes from traditional to modern
devices
a)Traditional design methods:

Adopt bottom-up design method; manual assembly, after repeated

debugging, verification and modification. More components are used,
with poor circuit reliability, and a long design cycle.

b) Modern design method:

Modern EDA technology realizes the hardware design software. Using

the top to bottom design method, the circuit design, analysis, simulation
and revision are all completed by computer.

EDA(Electronics Design Automation) technology
EDA technology takes the computer as the basic tool, with the help of the software
design platform, to automatically complete the digital system simulation, logic synthesis,
layout and wiring and other work. Finally, download to the chip, to realize the system
functions. Software the hardware design.
