THE SIMPLE PAST
The past tense in English is used to talk Something that was true for

SIMPLE PAST TENSE

verb but, irregular verb forms have to be learnt.
You use the simple past tense to mention:
A time in the past:
For example: "Last month Lucia got married to Edward"
It can be used to describe events that happened over a period of time in
the past but not now.
For example: "I lived in the United States for three years."

We use the past of regular and irregular verbs only in affirmative sentences.
Example: ‘ I ate three slices of pizza last night’
‘ Carlos walked to the office last week’
In negative and questions we use the auxiliary verb ‘did’ and the verb goes in its
base form. Example: ‘I didn’t study hard for this test.’
