Guidelines for Freshers Day ‘24

GROUP DANCE

• Each group will get 3 min each to perform.

• One dance team from each group will be allowed to perform. A minimum of 6 students
should be part of the dance team, No limit to the maximum number of dancers allowed

• The dance can be classical,semi-classical, Bollywood, western, contemporary or fusion

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• Songs can be Western or Regional

• Suggestive moves will lead to disqualification. Costumes violating the dress code will not be
allowed to perform

• No profane language must be present in the music

• Song choice must not be explicit

GROUP SONG

• Each group will get 3 min each to perform

• Songs can be Western or regional.

• The group should have a minimum of 6 participants from each team. No limit to the number
of participants

• Use of Background music/karaoke is encouraged.

• The groups are allowed to use musical instruments

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• No profane language must be present in the music used

• Song choice must not be explicit

SOLO DANCE

• Each Solo Performance will get 2.5 min each to perform.

• One solo entry from each group will be allowed to perform

• The dance can be classical,semi-classical, Bollywood, western or fusion

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• Songs can be Western or Regional

• Suggestive moves will lead to disqualification. Costumes violating the dress code will not be
allowed to perform

• No profane language must be present in the music

• Song choice must not be explicit

SOLO SONG

• Each solo entry will get 2.5 min each to perform

• Songs can be Western or regional.

• One solo entry from each group will be allowed to perform

• Use of Background music/karaoke is encouraged.

• The singer can use musical instruments on their own or have an additional accompaniment
who will not lend vocals

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• No profane language must be present in the music used

• Song choice must not be explicit

VARIETY (Group)

• Variety Group time limit is 3 minutes

• Variety Group can have any performance other than singing or dance such, as martial arts,
Rhythmic gymnastics, live art, mime, instrumental (no vocals allowed) etc

• The group can have two or more performances simultaneously. There should be a minimum
of 5 participants for the Variety Group

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• Costumes should be college-appropriate, maintaining the college decorum.

• Use of any type of props is allowed.

• No use of offensive language, or pointing out any particular religion, caste or state.

VARIETY (Solo)

• Variety Solo time limit is 2.5 minutes

• Variety Solo can have any performance other than singing or dance such, as martial arts,
Rhythmic gymnastics, live art, mime, instrumental (no vocals allowed), etc

• Background music must be sent to [email protected] by 4th, November.

• Costumes should be college-appropriate, maintaining the college decorum.

• Use of any type of props is allowed.

• No use of offensive language, or pointing out any particular religion, caste or state.

Guidelines for ‘Best Fresher’ Contest

• The contestants would be given 3 minutes each for introduction and for showcasing their
talent followed by a 3-minute Q&A Session with the judges about their performance or
personality, etc.

• It should be noted that contestants must be part of ‘90’s Masquerade: Desi Ballroom’ as
participation in the event would affect the overall judgment.

• Participants will be judged based on talent, self-confidence, interaction with the judges and
personality

• Only 6 Contestants, will be part of the final ‘Best Fresher’ contest on Fresher’s Day, 8th
November, 2024.

• Auditions will be held to determine the finalists will be held from 4th November 2024.
