    WRITING TASK 2

    You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

    Write about the following topic:

    As the internet becomes more popular, newspapers are becoming a thing of


    the past.

    To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

    Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own
    knowledge and experience.

    Write at least 250 words.

    At the present time, we are witnessing the internet becoming more and
    more used in every aspect of our lives.With that being said, I totally agree
    that newspapers will become a thing of the past.
    Firstly, I would say that the main advantage of reading news on internet
    would be the speed of getting informations.We live in a fast-paced world
    and often, we don't have time to inform ourselves on the latest
    news.However, with internet we can check news in a matter of seconds
    from everywhere, our bed, cafe or work office.Additionaly, internet offers a
    wide range of sources and perspectives on many different topics which can
    give readers better understanding of the news.From my experience,
    reading news on internet is extremely convenient and efficient, although we
    have to be aware if the informations we are getting from the internet are
    legitimate and entirely true.
    On the other hand, there are advantages of reading news in newspaper
    that internet can't replace.Unlike digital platforms, newspapers allow
    readers to disconnect from digital devices and focus on content, free from
    distractions such as notifications and advertisements.Besides that, for
    some people ritual of reading newspapers, for example, with their coffee in
    the morning is irreplaceable part of their daily routine.This sense of tradition
    and physical presence of newspaper offer a unique experience for it's
    readers.
    To conclude, I would say that internet articles will definitely replace
    newspapers at some point, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're
    bad, they will just become more suitable and convenient for the people's
    lifestyle in the future.
