WHAT IS HIGH BLOOD
PRESSURE?
It happens when the pressure in your blood
vessels is too high (140/90 mmHg or
higher). It is common but can be serious if
not treated. It can also be called as
"hypertension".
WHAT ARE THE
CAUSES OF IT?

• Often eating unhealthy food


• Drinking too much alcohol or caffeine
• Not enough Physical Activity
• Having not enough good-quality of sleep
• Being in a high-stress situation
•Use of substances such as: cocaine and
methamphetamine
OTHER MEDICAL
CONDITIONS:
• Tumor
• Chronic Kidney disease
• Metabolic syndrome
• Overweight and Obesity
• Sleep apnea
• Thyroid problems
HOW TO PREVENT HIGH
BLOOD PRESSURE?
• Eat a healthy diet.
•Keep yourself at a healthy weight.
•Be physically active.
•Do not smoke.
•Limit how much alcohol you drink.
• Get enough sleep.
