“Rise from the flames, stronger, bolder, unbreakable.

Respected judges, honored guests, and my fellow cadets,

Today, I stand here to share a message of resilience—a message as fierce as the phoenix itself, that
legendary bird that rises from ashes, stronger and more brilliant than ever before. “Rise from the flames,
stronger, bolder, unbreakable.” These words echo with defiance, with courage, with the indomitable
spirit that dares to defy defeat.

(Pause, let the silence linger for effect)

Rumi once said, “You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.” These words are a truth we often
ignore. It’s only through hardship, through the searing fire of struggle, that we find our true strength.
There is no easy path to greatness, my friends. Our struggles are the very flames that test our resilience,
that push us to be more, to be better.

(Look around the audience with conviction, pause)

Imagine a sword in the forge. It’s heated, hammered, shaped, again and again, until it becomes
unbreakable steel. That fire is not its destruction; it’s its making! We, too, are forged in the fires of
adversity. Each challenge, each test, it’s there to make us stronger, tougher, unstoppable.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote:

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

(Raise your voice with intensity)

Can we, who inherit the legacy of the Quaid, the spirit of Iqbal, shrink before any challenge? Can we, the
descendants of those who fought for independence, ever let our spirits bow?

(Deliver passionately, with emotion)

In 1947, our ancestors carved Pakistan out of hardship, out of sweat and sacrifice. A young nation with
mountains of challenges before it, but we rose, didn’t we? Through the wars, through every crisis,
through every trial, we rose! And today, Pakistan stands because every setback only strengthens our
resolve. We burn, yes, but we rise from the flames, shining brighter, standing taller!

(Pause, look around with fierce energy)

Viktor Frankl, who survived the Holocaust, said, “What is to give light must endure burning.” Think about
that! Every one of our struggles, every sacrifice—these are not setbacks; they are steps forward.
Pakistan’s history proves that each trial refines us, every fall only fuels our rise!

(Raise voice, lean forward for emphasis)

Rising from the ashes is more than survival; it is rebirth. Look around the world! We see those who
refused to surrender: Helen Keller, who fought darkness and silence to bring light to others, and Malala
Yousafzai, who stood against terror to give a voice to millions. Their stories are ours—proof that
resilience is not just about enduring; it is about using the struggle to ignite change.

(Pause for effect, let the silence build anticipation)

And remember, light is born from fire. Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) endured trials beyond
imagination, yet he emerged as a guide to all of humanity. His life teaches us that to suffer is to
transform, to face adversity is to illuminate.

(Let voice rise with conviction, almost a roar)

“Rise like lions after slumber,

In unvanquishable number!

Shake your chains to earth like dew

Which in sleep had fallen on you.”

(Deliver these lines with power, with fire)

This, my friends, is our anthem! Our trials are not curses; they are gifts! For every fall, we get up
stronger, braver, and we ask the world, “Is that all you’ve got?”

(Clench fist, raise voice with fiery determination)

Let us burn! Burn with the desire to achieve, to endure, to overcome. And when the world tries to stifle
our flame, let it only fuel our fire. Because we are Pakistanis, and we do not back down.

(Pause to let the impact settle)

As Allah says in the Quran, “Do not lose hope, nor be sad. You will surely be victorious if you are indeed
believers” (Surah Al-Imran 3:139). This victory is for those who rise, for those who endure every
challenge with unbreakable faith.

So rise! Rise like the mountains, rise like fire, unyielding and unstoppable. Rise, for Pakistan rises with
you—stronger, brighter, forever unbowed!

(Pause, look around with fierce resolve)

Thank you.
