FS 2 LEARNING EPISODE 18 GRADING AND REPORTING

GENETH S. SOLANOY
BEED 4A

Analyze

1. What are the teaching implications of the students' test scores and grades?
❤Teaching exam results, in my opinion, imply that the students or the instructor know if each
student has learned something in their session. How can they better themselves, as well as how
can a teacher stimulate his or her students? Assist the instructor in identifying the grade level
of the students.

2. In what subjects did students perform best? poorest?

❤I believe that not all students are consistently engaged in all subjects; nevertheless. I believe
that the Filipino topic performed well since the students are already proficient in Tagalog
vocabulary, and many students do not have difficulties with the Filipino subject. And , in my
opinions the worst subjects are English and Mathematics, because some students in English
have problems or are not adept at interpreting, summarizing, or evaluating language. They
have trouble answering and analyzing problems in in mathematics. English and Math are
thought subjects since it is difficult to define formulas and translate them into English terms.

3. How was the PTC attendance of parents and guardians? What does this imply?
❤Attending a parent-teacher conference is an excellent way to start having adequate
communication between the parent and the teacher so that they can will do with each student
since the instructor discusses the student's behavior. And the instructor reports on the students
Academic

4. What parents/guardians/comments were most common during Card-Giving Day?

❤Some parents mentioned in my interview that on the day of giving card, they were happy to
see their child studying well thanked the instructor for doing his best to help their children, and
other comments were about how child can improve their grade and some about how to fully
achieve the expected grade for each lesson.

What personal message do I get from these students' scores, grades and parents'/
'guardians' PTC attendance and comments.

❤In my discussion with the instructor, I learned that some parents and kids applaud the teacher
for giving them a grade and helping them learn, while others wonder why they received so little.
The teacher carefully explains the grades achieved on the test, activities, and performance to
the to the students. As the results, assist parents in assisting students in furthering their
knowledge, effort, and, abilities.

Write Action Research Prompts

OBSERVE
1. One good thing that I observe in scoring / grading / Parents-Teachers Conference was is
that the teacher did right at the start of class. Students should be informed about the
grading methods at the start of class, and it should be stated that the course grade will
be based only on achievement also, stay away from prejudice. Review the evidence of
you’re on question. Give the better grade if you’re still unsure.
2.
2. One thing that did not go very well in scoring/grading / Parents-Teachers Conference was
when parents failed to attend and we’re perplexed as to why their child received the grade they
did.

REFLECT
The scoring/grading / Parents-Teachers Conference went well because the instructor/teacher
and parents got along well because the teacher let all of the parents ask questions, which the
teacher answered thoroughly and in a way that the parents could understand.

The scoring/grading / Parents-Teachers Conference did not go well because some parents
arrived late for the meeting, they missed the start of the exchange between the teacher and
other parents.

ACT
To ensure that the scoring, grading and the conduct of PTC serve their purpose, i.e. to ensure
that students learn, I will read researches on .... or view video on ... further study or observation
is needed so that I may learn more about tactics that will help me reach the goals of ensuring
that the scoring and contact of Parent- Teacher Conference are seamless and that students
learning is improved.

PLAN
To help improve scoring, grading practices and the conduct of PTC, I would like to conduct an
action research on through performing study, observation and, and interviews in order to better
understand what needs to be done to develop the skills. Other tactics may be utilized to inspire
teachers and parents to help kids accomplish their learning goals, such as grading procedures
or conducting PTC.

Work on my Artifacts

Compile samples of scoring and grade computation that you did. The tests and products/
portfolios that you score and Students' Report Card must belong to the same students to see
development. Include snapshots of PTCs and list of parents'/guardians' comments during PTC
and how these comments were addressed.
