Proposal Of Micro-Project
Microproject on: - 3-PHASE SEQUENCE INDICATOR USING TWO BULBS AND A CAPACITOR

1. Brief Introduction: -

In this micro-project we have found a very easy method to identify phase sequence in a
three- phase sequence with the help of the 2 bulbs and a capacitor
Identifying the phase sequence is very important process in Electrical Field and this is one of
the best and trusted method of all time.
There are two types of indeitifying the phase sequence like Rotating type and Dynamic type
and this one is of Dynamic types.
2. Aim of Micro-Project: -

To identify the Phase Sequence using this kit.

3. Intended Course Outcomes: -

To study how three phase sequence using two bulbs and a capacitor.
4. Literature Review and references

5. Proposed Methodology: -

1) The first task was the selection of group of Four members which was done
by the teacher.
2) We discussed about what topic to choose for our microproject.
3) The Micro-Project was finalized and topic concept was discussed.
4) The circuit diagram was finalized and we started collecting the information
for the Project report.
5) Discussed about related theory about the Micro-project.
6) Browsing the related Video & Images.
7) Collection of required Information.
8) Making the model and report
9) And finally, after all this we Submitted this Micro-Project to The Teacher

THE ACTUAL CIRCUIT DAIGRAM

1) Elements Used
 Tungsten Bulbs-2000 Watt, 250V
 Capacitor
 Three Phase Four Wire Connector

EEM (22325)2023 WCE

CONDITION 1

 CIRCUIT DIAGRAM FOR CONDITION 1

Brief Information about Condition 1

 In this condition we have given positive (proper R-Y-B) supply to the kit
using three phase four wire connector.

 Then after turning on the supply the B2 glows bright and B1 glows dark.

 From these observations of two bulbs, we can conclude that the given
supply is positive i.e., proper R-Y-B.
 That means our three-phase indicator works properly

CONDITION 2

 CIRCUIT DIAGRAM FOR CONDITION 2

Brief Information about Condition 2

 In this condition we have given negative (improper R-Y- B) supply to the kit
using three phase four wire connector.

 Then after turning on the supply the B1 glows bright and B2 glows dark.

 From these observations of two bulbs, we can conclude that the given
supply is not positive ie., improper R-B- Y.

 That means our three-phase indicator works properly

 Conclusion:-

This project was very interesting and helpful for our future.

Identifying the phase sequence is very important part of Electrical field. Giving a proper
supply to any three-phase machine decides the working of the instrument.

From this project we got an experience of handling Electrical materials like Capacitor,
bulbs, bulb holder and three phase connector etc.

Doing this project was very enthusiastic experience and will be a memorial project for us.

By this project we came across many three-phase identification methods like Rotating
Type Method and Dynamic Method etc.
