Eyeglasses Appliqué Crochet

Pattern
Crochet applique is quick and easy to make and
requires only a small amount of yarn. Here is the
adorable eyeglasses applique crochet pattern that
comes in 5 shapes of frames. With a tassel
dangling at one corner, I made these crochet
eyeglasses appliques into bookmarks and gave
them away for books lover friends. Besides, being
a bookmark, they can be added to many more

4. Make 10 sc stitches, then slip stitch to the first sc stitch to complete the left

5. Continue to crochet the right rim by making 18 ch stitches, then slip stitch
to the 3rd ch stitch from the right ring and a bridge of 2 sts in between.

6. Crochet 13 sc, 7 dc, 10 sc into the right ring the slip stitch to the first sc to
complete the right rim.

7. To complete the crochet eyeglasses appliqué, make 2 sc stitches to the

bridge, then slip stitch to the 1st single crochet stitch of the left rim.
Fasten and trim the yarn.

8. Use a tapestry needle to weave the yarn tail into the stitches and hide it
away.

9. Block the crochet eyeglasses by moistening them with water, adjusting the
shape, then pin them on a fabric padded surface to hold the shape. Leave it
dry overnight.
If you wish to stiffen the eyeglasses appliqué, spray them with fabric
stiffener or ironing starch to moistening.

Notes
If you crochet with a heavier yarn size and a matching hook, you will produce a
larger appliqué. Otherwise, a lighter weight will produce a smaller appliqué.
