Year/ Sem: II/III

1. Statement of clear goals

The clear goals of the subject are based on Course Learning Rationale (CLR) and the targets
are quantified accordingly for the subject.

Course Learning The purpose of learning this course is to:

Rationale (CLR)
CLR-1 Structures, pointers, searching, sorting techniques used to handle a
set of data along with time and space complexity

CLR-2 List structure and its categories

CLR-3 Linear structures Stack and Queue
CLR-4 Tree structure with its applications and hashing methods
CLR-5 Structures Graphs and implement them
CLR-6 Different types of data structures and use them for problem solving

Targets
Expected Proficiency% (p) 60

High Expected Attainment % (x) 85

Moderate Expected Attainment % (y) 70

Low Expected Attainment % (z) 60

2. Use Of Appropriate Methods

Innovative teaching pedagogies are planned to enhance the learning of the students
with student centric methods and ICT Tools. The following table illustrates the appropriate
methods for the Data Structures and Algorithms to improve the proficiency in programming
and the concepts.

Significance Of Results

The results are measured based on the course outcomes of the subject.

Course Outcomes (CO)

Course Outcomes At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
(CO):
CO-1 Develop programs using data types like structures, pointers and
arrays supported by C programming language.
CO-2 Analyze the complexity of algorithm and if needed, modify it to
improve its efficiency.
CO-3 Identify and use appropriate data structure for devising solution.

CO-4 Describe and use tree structure while developing programs.

CO-5 Implement the Graph structure and use it whenever deemed

necessary for providing better solution

CO-6 Decide and use appropriate searching and sorting algorithms while
developing solutions for specific problem
CIA: Continues Internal Assessment

SEE: Semester End Examination

DIRECT: Internal Assessment

INDIRECT: End Survey

FINAL ATTAINMENT: Direct and Indirect Assessment

EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION

The effective presentation is evaluated based on the end semester exit survey. The exit survey
is collected based on the Course outcomes.
REFLECTIVE PRESENTATION

The reflective presentation is based on the Internal Assessment marks. The slow learners are
identified and given remedial coaching class for further improvement.
