MECHANICS
1. Spoken word poetry serves as a platform for artists to give voice to their innermost

must be original (unpublished; bears the author's name, year level, and section, and
designated team). The piece can be written and delivered in any language of choice.
The participants should send a MICROSOFT WORD and PDF copy of their original
piece via email at [email protected] on or before the deadline
date. File name as follows: NAME OF TEAM_SPOKENPOETRY-ND'24. Late
submission of entries and major changes made to the piece during the live
performance will incur automatic disqualification of the team.

3. The use of offensive language, as well as any content containing sexual, racist, or
other discriminatory elements that may tarnish the reputation of students, faculty, or
the institution, is strictly forbidden in the performance. Any such content will result in
immediate disqualification of the entry.
4. Participants are required to present their original spoken poetry and are not permitted
to make any changes to their pieces on the day of the event. The submissions sent to
the designated email address are considered final and cannot be altered.

5. The duration of each piece should fall within a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum
of 6 minutes. Going under or over the time frame will result in a deduction of 1 point
for every 10 seconds.

6. The speech should be memorized. Reading notes or the piece itself during the
presentation might result in deduction of points.

7. Instrumental/musical backgrounds or props are allowed to complement the delivery.

However, no deduction will be made if the participant opts not to incorporate a
musical background or props.

dress code of the school.

SRF for validation.
