ECONOMIC SURVEY

OF
Urban Rays Energy Producers’ Cooperative
(Name of Cooperative)

BACKGROUND ;

Urban Rays Energy Producers' Cooperative was established to address the growing need for
sustainable and affordable energy solutions in Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Recognizing the
province’s significant dependence on traditional energy sources, the cooperative aims to
promote renewable energy, particularly solar power, as a viable alternative. With a focus on
installing solar panels on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, Urban Rays Energy
seeks to empower local communities and businesses by reducing their reliance on fossil fuels,
lowering electricity costs, and contributing to environmental sustainability. The cooperative
operates across key cities and municipalities in the province, including Cagayan de Oro, Opol, El
Salvador, and Villanueva, ensuring broad access to clean energy.

RATIONALE ;

The rationale behind forming the Urban Rays Energy Producers' Cooperative stems from the
urgent need to transition to renewable energy sources to mitigate the impact of climate change
and rising electricity costs. By adopting a cooperative model, the initiative ensures that local
communities have shared ownership of solar energy infrastructure, which not only provides
economic benefits but also fosters a sense of collective responsibility towards sustainable energy
use. The cooperative’s business model is designed to offer affordable solar panel installations
and energy-sharing systems, enabling both residential and commercial members to contribute to
and benefit from renewable energy production. This approach supports national and global
efforts to reduce carbon emissions while improving energy independence for the region.
