Clothing Brands
(You Should Know About!)

The Arrivals is a NYC fashion brand heavily inspired by NYC culture focusing
primarily on outerwear, with their jackets remaining a core strength of the brand. I
love their fashion forward designs which make combination of innovative technical
outerwear with contemporary high-fashion style. This is a perfect brand for some
quality outerwear.

Heron Preston is a streetwear brand founded in 2013. This brand is an

absolute favourite of mine, mostly for its use of bold graphics and mix of creative
industrial design elements alongside a strong core streetwear influence – similar to
what you find in Off White and Supreme. The quality of their pieces, specifically their
tees, hoodies and pants within my experience is extremely well made, with premium
stitchwork, thick weighty fabrics and overall deep and bold ink printing.

Diesel is an Italian fashion brand founded in 1978. This brand has recently
soared in popularity for its edgy, rebellious designs and expertise in denim and
general craftsmanship. This is an immensely popular brand in the space at the
moment and truly caters to those who seek to express their unhinged individuality
with Diesel’s daring designs.
Hellstar is a streetwear brand known for its bold, graphic designs and
distinctive logo. They have a heavy focus on underground culture, leaning heavy
into streetwear trends with a brand identity going beyond fashion, promoting
overcoming challenges and inner light.

Ft. Louisa is an Australian clothing brand launched in 2018. This one is a fun,
bubbly brand that focuses on a "vintage but new" aesthetic, offering modern
interpretations of classic styles. I really like Ft. Louisa for their more bright and
colourful designs and diverse offering of clothing – you can cop quality denim
alongside sweaters, lounge wear and so on. This is a brand that can offer you
standout pieces to add to your wardrobe.

Velour Garments stands out for their commitment to premium quality and
timeless style. This brand is absolutely great for dabbling into luxury comfort with
their elevated essentials – this is a brand that specializes in staple pieces like
hoodies and sweatpants, offering a blank canvas for building a luxurious and
comfortable wardrobe. I like Velour particularly for their priority on ensuring
sustainable practices, making sure their garments are kind to the environment.

Zegna is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1910 by Ermenegildo Zegna.

The brand is known for its high-quality tailoring and use of luxurious fabrics. I
particularly like Zegna for their focus on more adult and traditional menswear styling
– think blazers, polo shirts, trousers etc. This is a great choice for anyone looking to
branch into that more preppy or formal orientated styling.

Jaded London is an English brand founded in 2013, drawing inspiration

from street styles all around the world, this brand is very versatile offering a unique
mix of cultural influences. Jaded London is particularly known for their edgy
detailing on denim and contemporary twists with their clothing – they take classic
styles like denim jeans and dresses and add their own touch with unique cuts,
embellishments and washes.

Hours Collection is an a “street inspired athleisure” brand. A perfect mix

of comfort and style, I like this brand as it offers more choice and diversity for
signature pieces and simple, high-quality blanks. This is a perfect brand for every
day wear.

Rue Porter focuses on providing high quality blank apparel; their unique
proposition is luxury basics. I put this brand on the list for their awesome inventory
of wholesale t-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants – they create their basics with
premium materials which while being more so intended for brand creators who want
to actually design with their blanks, I find the sheer quality of the pieces actually
makes for excellent use and wear as wardrobe essentials.
PURE Blanks is an Australian brand, as the name suggests, focusing solely
on delivering good blank apparel. This is a brand started by some colleagues I know
who have a love for fashion and style – if you’re a local resident and looking to
support Australian businesses, this is perfect to stock up on some nice essentials
and wardrobe staples.

Entire Studios is based on three pillars: functionality, quality and

affordability. A fairly new brand founded just in 2020, this brand is taking the fashion
space by storm with their celebrated ethos of accessible luxury aesthetics and high-
quality simple designs. They really focus on quality using premium materials and
construction to make sure their garments last. This brand is another great choice to
build out the essential, every day pieces in your wardrobe.

Greenacre Exchange offers one-of-a-kind vintage streetwear with a

handmade touch, inspired by the New York City style. They put an emphasis on the
handcrafted aspect of their clothing, suggesting unique pieces you might not find
elsewhere. Their patchwork jeans are incredibly and intricately designed.

South.St provides a unique blend of comfort and style in their Australian-

designed streetwear offering both online and in-store shopping options. Branching
into the UK market, South.St also has a physical presence in London as well but the
brand do virtually ship globally to anywhere you may require. South.St prioritizes
comfort in their streetwear apparel. They offer oversized sweats, hoodies, and
loungewear, making casual clothes stylish for everyday wear.

MADE Blanks positions itself as a supplier of premium blank apparel,

prioritizing quality materials for a comfortable and stylish base. Exactly like Rue
Porter, this is again, predominately blank apparel for fashion brands and creators. I
wanted to offer more options on this list to help you build minimalist wardrobes and
the blanks here at Made Blanks are top tier.

Axel Arigato is an interesting niche brand that has carved out its own little
space in the industry. With a primary focus on footwear, this brand focuses heavily
on minimalist sneakers with clean lines, subtle detailing and premium materials.

Broken Planet is a UK-based streetwear brand known for its blend of

fashion and sustainability. The brand makes use of recycled and sustainable
materials extensively in their manufacturing processes. I initially found this brand
quite interesting with their lean into more edgy and experimental designs: lots of
bold prints, unique cuts giving the brand very distinct character. I love their puff
print pieces, sweatpants and hoodies.
Jacquemus is a French fashion label founded by Simon Jacquemus in 2009.
I like the label for its oversized silhouettes, bold colours, and playful designs. I find
Jacquemus leans more into that mature yet youthful menswear appeal so I find this
a good brand to delve into when looking to diversify and grow your wardrobe past
basic tees and denim but still maintain a fun, contemporary wardrobe without
strictly boxing yourself into that traditional menswear look. Jacquemus is also
known for its innovative use of materials, such as raffia and straw.

Acne Studios is a luxury fashion house you might’ve seen recently booming
in popularity for its minimalist aesthetic and clean lines. I find Acne Studios are a
particularly excellent brand for their intention to pants as focal points in their
collections – their jeans are some of the best quality and detailed garments on the
market. They do offer other range of clothing, footwear, and accessories for men
and women but to me, their pants are definitely their strength.

Misbhv is a Polish fashion label founded in 2008 by Natalia Maczek. I’ve thrown
this one in the list for my guys who like a grungier style. The label is known for its
dark and romantic aesthetic – lots of interesting graphics and their signature gothic
“m” monogram is Misbhv offers a wide range of clothing, footwear, and accessories
for men and women.

Fear of God is an American luxury fashion label founded in 2013 by Jerry

Lorenzo. The label is known for its streetwear-inspired designs and oversized
silhouettes. Fear of God offers a wide range of clothing, footwear, and accessories
for men. This one is a very popular choice that had a boom in recent years and
offers an alternative option for people wanting more interesting and minimalist
silhouettes. The ESSENTIALs line houses a great collection of simple basics and
staples to build your wardrobe from.
Websites & Retailers
(Where to Cop?)

MARAIs Australia
Website: Marais.com.au
Marais is a great storefront I want to recommend for my fellow Australians as it can
be hard to find shops specializing in the broad range of high fashion brands out
there. They have a very nice select and curated collection, albeit a bit pricey, the
convenience of having this in person within Australia (fast shipping) alongside their
online storefront is quite nice.

Cettire
Website: Cettire.com
Cettire is a personal favourite of mine just due to absolute raw value and savings
you get from shopping here. The retailer is filled with thousands of high fashion
authentic luxury brands marked down on constant sales and promotions every
week. I personally shop here for most of my luxury goods as the prices aren’t
typically matched elsewhere – delivery times can be quite drawn out but they have
an engaged customer service team and very friendly returns policy with garments
(they will even pay return shipping and organize delivery pickup for any returns you
want to give back).

Depop
Website: Depop.com
Depop is great for sourcing curated pieces and building connections with local
sellers and thrifters alike. You are purchasing from third-party vendors so you do
have to make sure to complete your due diligence but I find Depop is great for
finding very unique and creative pieces.

Grailed
Website: Grailed.com
Grailed is a great source for any obscure and hard-to-find pieces – this is going to
be one of the best sources to use for older archive pieces that aren’t retailed any
longer. The site is notoriously known for its meme influence and presence in internet
fashion culture and you need to be aware that Grailed is a not a retailer but instead
a marketplace for third party vendors to sell items. What this means essentially is
you need to do your due diligence and research every buyer and item before you go
ahead and purchase.
Subtype
Website: Subtypestore.com
Subtype caters to those who love the energy of streetwear but appreciate quality
and unique design. They offer a curated selection of established and emerging
streetwear brands. I really like subtype too because of their effort with bringing
exclusivity to the space - they partner with brands for exclusive releases and
collaborations, giving you access to limited-edition items.

SSENSE
Website: Ssense.com
Now SSENSE more or less is the same as Cettire in my eyes though I will give it the
edge in terms of sheer inventory and brand accessibility over to SSENSE as I find
they do tend to stock more diverse luxury brands and also get access to new
season drops much faster than any other sellers.

Bronze Snake
Website: Bronzesnake.com
This one is my absolute favourite when it comes to shopping and finding quality yet
stylish clothing at a fair and affordable price. Bronze Snake originated from Australia
but have grown so massively to the point they actually ship globally and offer
clothing worldwide. I find their general inventory is always up to date with fashion-
forward trends really allowing you to confidently build a creative and original
wardrobe.

GOAT
Website: Goat.com
GOAT in the same sense as Grailed is another platform for third party vendors to
sell their items but what I really like GOAT is its stronger focus towards sneakers
and general hype pieces and streetwear collaborations. The platform has a
multitude of authenticated and verified sellers who guarantee expedited shipping
and faster access to items so it does offer a nice avenue to cop sought-after
seasonal items without having to haggle and aggressively lowball unverified sellers.

General Pants Co.

Website: generalpants.com
Generalpantsco is a great storefront for not only finding solid denim but also diving
into a range of affordable but quality clothing alongside that too. This is a retailer
that will suit a general wardrobe with strong basics and essentials. Lots of
accessible trends and key pieces are sold here too – in terms of more budget-
friendly styling options, I strongly recommend shopping here if you’re looking for
clean cut, modular and affordable pieces. The blanks here are great too if you’re
wanting to find some good minimalist basics.
Farfetch
Website: Farfetch.com
Farfetch I will list here just to give more options and variety, especially for my global
audience - but I do generally prefer SSENSE and Cettire over Farfetch when it
comes to purchasing luxury fashion due to much more competitive pricing of the
former two. Farfetch definitely does list some serious high tier (i.e. Archive Louis
Vuitton, Rolexs) items that you won’t see on other websites and delivery speed is
very quick too.

Fragrances
(Signature Scents)

Now before we delve into my fragrance recommendations, I want to really stop here
and emphasize with you one key point to wearing fragrance that you need to know
in order to truly maximise it – and that is,

“Less is MORE”

And by that, I mean DO NOT OVERSPRAY YOUR FRAGRANCE.

This is a common mistake I see being done all the time by newbie enthusiasts and
experienced fragrance vets alongside - A person should never be able to intensely
smell your scent when you walk into a room. Your fragrance should only project
once someone is close and inside your intimate zone.

(Spray onto pulse points) A light spray at the front of your neck (under your chin),
behind each ear and a spray at the back of your neck is all you need. And if you
ever worry whether you may have under sprayed, keep it that way because, again,
less is MORE.

Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit

A floral and woody smell with deep complex top notes consisting of bergamot,
mandarin orange and black currant. This one is a perfect musk that works as a nice
every occasional scent, but is even bold enough to be used as a signature scent if
you so wanted to.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
Warm, amber and floral notes with saffron and jasmine. This scent will by far be
your new favourite fragrance if you like sweeter notes. This fragrance has gotten me
the most compliments by males and females alike – it is an addicting, sweet smell
that has a standout character.

Side Effect Initio Parfums Prives

A spicy and woody scent, Side Effect by Initio Parfums Privés is a unisex fragrance
known for its bold and captivating aroma. Here's a breakdown of its key notes: This
is a perfect club scent, and I heavily recommend for my younger guys to try this
one. There are some leathery notes in the scent profile that add a touch of
sophistication and intrigue to the overall scent profile.

Dior Sauvage
Now this one is a very popular scent I’m sure you’ve heard of, and its popular for
good reason. This is a very fresh and masculine fragrance known for its invigorating
and powerful aroma – to be completely honest, I would steer from using this as a
signature scent just due to how popular it is.

TOM FORD EBENE FUME

A woody and leathery scent with strong incense and tobacco. A great fragrance
with a light warm masculine tone and captivating amber, smoky profile. Lots of
black pepper and papyrus hints with this scent – If you love smoky scents this one
is a great pickup.

Maison Margiela REPLICA Jazz Club

A boozy, rum and tobacco scent with leather and vanilla. It encapsulates a warm
fireplace with a rough leathery masculine tone. This is a personal favourite of mine
that gives a bold presence and exudes a rugged, seductive maturity.

One Million
A bold and spicy fragrance with a fresh and fruity opening. This one is a perfect
starter fragrance if you’re looking to get into fragrances and wanting a very versatile
scent that can work for a range of situations.

Versace EROS BLUE

A fresh and sweet invigorating fragrance with a vanilla, cedarwood, and vetiver
providing a warm and masculine base. This is a much more intoxicating scent
perfect for a night out at the club or drinks at the bar – I find Eros is definitely a
more youthful, playful scent with decent projection though not as long-lasting as
you might find ideal.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Silver
A very fresh and aromatic fragrance – like the name “Gentle Fluidity” implies I find
this one to be a more subtle and not very overpowering fragrance. It’s a very
intriguing scent with a complex arrangement of olfactory silhouettes, it definitely
leans more into that energizing scent tone which if you enjoy more vibrant and niche
scents, this one will be a perfect fragrance for yourself. There is no citrussy notes
and the scent has a lot of depth so it’s a versatile niche fragrance that is very
signature scent worthy.
