HISTORY OF PLEATED SKIRT AND ITS EVOLUTION
There are many different types of pleated skirts available today, but the narrow-
pleated skirt, which frequently runs the length of the entire skirt, is one of the most
popular. Conversely, the pleats on traditional pleated skirts are substantially wider.
Mariano Fortuny, a pioneering Spanish artist, inventor, and fashion designer,
developed a specific pleating method in the early 1900s. From his Venice
headquarters, he used it to produce the renowned "delphos" dress.
When corsets went out of style in the early 20th century, pleated skirts initially
gained popularity. Fashionable women's closets in the 1920s and 1930s and
subsequently the wardrobes of famous royal figures like Queen Elizabeth started
to prioritise the more comfortable staple piece. Whether in the form of a skirt,
blouse, dress, or scarf, pleats are a wardrobe essential.
This season's must-have item is a midi-length skirt with accordion pleats in a range
of hues and designs. You can buy them everywhere from Zara and H&M to high-
end fashion brands. And while you are not need to wear them to be royalty, they
will unquestionably elevate your status as a 2020 fashion icon.

HISTORY OF BIKER JACKET

The first leather biker jacket was made by Manhattan-based raincoat designer
Irving Schott in 1928 for Harley Davidson. The 'Perfecto' was the earliest example
of the elegant silhouette that has become such a fashion classic. It was inspired
by leather flying jackets worn by military men in the early 1900s. Due to its
durability, it maintained ties with two-wheeler enthusiasts. So-called outlaw
motorcycle gangs adopted the jacket in a variety of shapes as part of their uniform
and decorated it with their gang's emblems.
The biker jacket had become a key component of the tough-guy look by the 1950s.
Hollywood loved the silhouette, and the big screen was crowded with actors like
Marlon Brando and James Dean playing mysterious rebels while dressed in glossy
leather. The frontmen of innumerable rock bands continued to wear worn-in,
scuffed-up leather with aviators, slicked-back hair, and the occasional smouldering
gaze at enthusiastic fans; it remained a crucial aspect of musical identity.
The black biker jacket may be the original leather-clad option, but with all the new,
exciting colour combinations dominating the male fashion scene this year, it might
be worth choosing a different shade for a look that's both fashionable and classic.
The shape of the jacket hasn't changed significantly for the most part. Although
the classic cut still features the typical construction of a thick texture, buttoned
lapels, and large zips, more straightforward, fuss-free variations have lately joined
the market. Members of the fashionable set are portraying the studded
ornamentation worn by original punks at the height of the anarchic music's
dominance, reviving punk influence from the 1970s at the same time.
However, in 2019, the black biker's rebellious image lends itself just as well to your
sharper looks. The original black biker may be a symbol of rebellious motorcycle
and punk groups.

Love 100 pumps are reinvented for the new look with gold eyelet embellishments
set against royal black suede.
Crafted in Italy, this sleek and elegant shape features a razor-sharp pointed toe
which adds a dose of drama and edge to an otherwise classic design.
History and evolution of pumps

A pump shoe is defined as a shoe with a rounded, pointy, or squared-off toe, a

high heel, or a flat heel. The toes, sides, and rear of a traditional pump are
constructed of leather. The toe is rounded and is styled to rise high enough to
conceal the cleavage.

The pump shoe design has been around for ages and is a great fashion classic.
Early in the 1500s, the name itself was first uttered. When men first started wearing
strapless, flat-heeled shoes, those were the first pumps. The first people to wear
the woman's pump were the servant class’s feet by the middle of the fifteenth
century. To begin with, the pump shoe was cheap, simple to put on, and comfy.
The fussy lace-up or button-up shoes used by the higher class were not affordable
or convenient for servants. The situation for the traditional pump shoe didn't
change until the 20th century. The classic pump shoe swiftly established itself as
the shoe style associated with elegance and glitz as footwear underwent major
modifications with the passage of time. Since the initial designs of the 1500s, the
pump has advanced significantly. In fact, the most popular model of women's
footwear is still the timeless, straightforward 1960 design. In the last couple of
years, the plain, spikey heel has become very popular once again. Designers like
"Christian Louboutin" have restored the simplicity of the traditional pump to
women's ensembles.

The pump shoe has changed significantly throughout time, and today's materials
are different from yesterday's most popular leather. The modern pump shoe is
made from a range of materials, including canvas, silk, and numerous synthetics.
Today's pump can be anything from a two-inch kitten heel to a very high, spiky
stiletto, as well as nearly anything in between.

Pumps have such a classic style and are designed to be worn with almost
anything. They look lovely when worn with a skirt or dress and look great with
pants. What can liven up a pair of jeans more than a great pair of sexy pumps?
They look wonderful in the evening with a little black dress or a tailored business
suit for work. The versatility is the best feature of a pump. A classic pump can see
you through from day to night without a hitch.

About the brand
The concept for Daniel Wellington came from a brief meeting that happened
halfway around the world. The creator, Filip Tysander, encountered a fascinating
British man with impeccable yet subtle elegance while on this tour. The man
particularly enjoyed sporting his ancient timepieces on worn-in NATO straps. He
went under the name Daniel Wellington.
Filip made the decision to design his own collection of watches after being inspired
by his new friend's classic taste. The original design, which was minimalist and
elegant and had replaceable straps, has become a classic with genuinely universal
appeal. This design is still an integral component of what makes Daniel Wellington
so unique even after a few years.
Filip sat down after his trip and started perusing various samples and colour
schemes. It was crucial that he adored the watch since only then would he be able
to proudly sell it. A lovely watch started to appear slowly but surely. It was
absolutely spherical, slender, and attractive. A showcase for Scandinavian
minimalism with the accuracy and precision of a Japanese mechanism watch.
This timeless but crisply modern design pairs well with our vibrant NATO strap,
the classy leather strap, and the exquisite mesh strap. Everyone who enjoys
traditional and timeless design will be drawn to the Daniel Wellington aesthetic.

Shirt – History and Evolution

A shirt is an upper body piece of clothing (from the neck to the waist).
It was originally an undergarment worn only by men, but American English now
uses the phrase to refer to a wide range of upper-body clothing and
undergarments. A shirt is a specific form of clothing with a collar, sleeves with
cuffs, and a full vertical opening with buttons or snaps in British English (North
Americans would call that a "dress shirt", a specific type of collared shirt). Another
way to wear a shirt is with a necktie tucked beneath the collar.
The two primary types of fibres used are natural fibre and synthetic fibre
(synthetics or petroleum based). Natural fibres include hemp, cotton, ramie, wool,
silk, and more recently, bamboo or soya. Linen was historically the first to be
utilised. Polyester, Tencel, viscose, and other artificial fibres are examples. Poly-
cotton, which combines cotton and polyester, is frequently used. Shirtings are the
term for shirts' fabrics. Plain weave, oxford, twill, and satin are the four primary
weaves used in shirtings. Examples of plain weave variations include broadcloth,
poplin, and end-on-end. The fabric can be finished once it has been woven.

History and evolution
Trousers date back to the 13th century BC. They are absolutely ancient and that
means they have evolved with prominent inputs as well.
Because robes are cumbersome to wear while riding a horse, trousers were first
created. In actuality, individuals who wore pants in combat had an advantage over
those who wore robes. In order to survive battle, civilizations all around the world
adopted this style of clothing. Trousers were originally a military uniform item. They
appeared as tight-fitting shorts or baggy pants with ankle closures. They evolved
into narrow trousers with connected foot covers by the end of the 14th century.
Knights wore this item underneath plate armour, which had the appearance of
hose. These trousers were eventually slimmed down into straightforward breeches
with a knee closure. However, these were later abandoned in favour of the working
class's ankle-length trousers. We didn't begin to see trousers like the ones we
wear today until the 19th century. They came in neutral colours and had a looser
fit with a button fly.
The oldest son of Queen Victoria, Edward VII, is credited with starting the modern
demand for trousers. He was also the person responsible for popularising pant
creases.
The Yanghai cemetery in Turpan, Sinkiang (Tocharia), in modern-day western
China, is the site of the discovery of the oldest known pair of pants, which date to
the time between the thirteenth and tenth centuries BC. The wool trousers were
presumably designed for riding horses because they featured broad crotches and
straight legs.

History and evolution of Loafers.

The loafer as we know it now was
created by London shoemaker
Wildsmith in 1926. King George Picture 17. Source: blackberrys.com
VI, their client, requested a pair of casual shoes to lounge around at his rural
homes.
Assembled from numerous pieces of leather, similar footwear was also adopted
by Norwegian milkers and fisherman.
Gucci, a then-obscure leather goods brand, introduced a pair of horsebit-accented
loafers in 1953. The founder's son, Aldo Gucci, was given the responsibility of
growing the family firm in the United States. He set out to design a stylish and
opulent pair of loafers that would be appropriate for both casual and formal settings
and would pay homage to the equestrian sport by being embellished with a
horsebit. He was inspired by the popularity of loafers in America.
The Gucci Horsebit loafers were an instant hit and helped the company gain more
recognition. The Horsebit loafers are still popular today and represent a preppy,
timeless look that will never go out of style.
Loafers are now available in a range of styles and colours. There are traditional
loafers, penny loafers, and tassel loafers. The main distinguishing feature of
loafers is that they are slip-on, flat leather shoes that may be dressed up or down.
Almost every designer menswear label sells their own version of the leather loafer
shoes. Even decades after first presenting the Horsebit loafers, Gucci continues
to introduce loafers in new shapes and silhouettes, each better than the last. Iconic
Italian design houses like Ferragamo and Tod's are also renowned for their leather
loafers, and you can't go wrong with a traditional name like Bally as well.
Loafers are extremely versatile shoes.

History and Evolution

Since the Bronze Age, belts have been used as masculine attire. Both sexes have
used them off and on, depending on the fashion trends. With the exception of the
early Middle Ages, late 17th century Mantua, and skirt/blouse combos between
1901 and 1910, belts have been more prevalent for men in the Western world.
Men began using belts in the 1920s, as trouser waists dropped to a lower line. The
term "independent" refers to a person who does not work for the government.
Furthermore, prior to that, trousers lacked belt loops. Trousers with belt loops were
already popular as sportswear in the nineteenth century. Today it is usual for guys
to wear belts with their trousers. The term "responsibility" refers to the act of
determining whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own actions.

The practise of sagging the pants, in which the waistbands of typically long shorts
or trousers are worn at or below the hips, exposing the top part of any underwear
not covered by an upper-body garment, has been observed among young men
and boys since the 1980s and more frequently in the middle of the 1990s,
especially among those who are black and associated with hip-hop culture and
fashion. This custom is thought to have started with prison gangs and the ban on
belts in prison due to their potential use as weapons and suicide devices.
Historically, including in the latter part of the 20th century, young men and boys
who identified as members of gangs were expected to wear their belts fastened
tightly.
Materials used
The most common belt material is leather since it can be bent, folded, and
tightened without suffering any damage. With time, genuine leather belts will also
mould to the wearer's shape, providing a cosy and customised fit.
Cowhide leather is frequently used to make belts. The best quality of cowhide
leather is full-grain leather, which is advised due to its durability even with frequent
use. A full-grain calfskin belt is among the top-quality ones that can be found
because it is soft and pliable.
Diverse alternative materials, such as canvas, webbing, rope, vinyl, suede,
braided leather, tooled leather, and suede-backed ribbon, are also available for
belts.
