Course Objectives:
The objective of this course is
l To give the student a broad understanding on enterprise creation
l To create an entrepreneurial organization
l To explore the challenges involved in leading an entrepreneurial organization.
l To help recognize the founders’ role in shaping an entrepreneurial organization.

Pre-requisites:
Students must have interest in entrepreneurship

Course Contents/Syllabus:

Module I Creation of New Ventures 10%
Idea versus opportunity, Identifying new projects, Preparing project profiles, Developing the entrepreneurial
plan, Perspectives about growth and emerging enterprises.
Module II Leading an Entrepreneurial Organization 25%
Transforming the entrepreneur vision, In search of entrepreneurial spirit, Leadership versus management,
Entrepreneurial leadership, transforming the organization from startup to leading organization.
Module III Growth & Development of Entrepreneurial Organization 25%
Managing growth, Financing growth, Developing a team of advisors, Attracting and retaining employees.

Module IV Managing Environments 20%


Economic, Social and Technological environment, Business trends, Industry cycles, Supporting institutions,
Incentives and subsidies, Strategies to overcome.

Module V Sustaining the Momentum 20%

Ethical and Social Responsibilities, Corporate Social Responsibilities, students prepare the profile of any
leading entrepreneur and their organization to understand the key facts entrepreneurial organization.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:


The course will be delivered though live examples of successful entrepreneurial leaders. Role play and exercise on developing
entrepreneurial leadership skills will be conducted. The case study method will also be used to demonstrate on transforming leadership
and growth of organization. The course instructor will also assign live project on ethics and social responsibility.

List of Professional Skill Development Activities (PSDA):

1. Understanding the entrepreneurial leader vision and make a presentation


2. Make a project on any three leading organization and discussing the factors of success through “valley of death” framework
3. Make a presentation of the project for any one organization above

Course Learning Outcomes:

1. By the end of the course students will be able to know the intricacies involved in creating a new venture.
2. Students who will complete this course will be able to differentiate in creating and leading an entrepreneurial organization.
3. By the end of this course students will be able to translate the vision of entrepreneur.
