VOLUNTEERING
Established a book club under the supervision of the "Student Services" department of the Law and Political Science
faculty at Herat University in response to the restrictions imposed on women's activities following the Taliban's
takeover. With many extracurricular programs halted and student morale low, the book club provided a crucial
platform for students to engage in discussions in a secure environment. By setting a weekly book and hosting weekend
discussions, we explored the author’s perspectives and related them to our own experiences, fostering hope and
solidarity among students during a challenging period. This experience was profoundly meaningful and impactful.
Contributed as a member of the Students Capacity-Building Committee, a branch of Herat University's Student
Association. The committee was established by students to provide fellow students with access to training and
conferences aimed at enhancing extracurricular skills in areas such as research, advocacy, and debate.
Coordinated the Herai Debate Tournament, themed "The Youth Towards Leadership," involving students from Herat
University, Jami University, and Galib University. Supported and funded by APT (Afghans for Progressive Thinking), the
tournament featured Parliament-style debates focusing on human rights and gender equality.
