phrases in the box.

Teaching notes
Invite one or two students to say a sentence about
the picture. Elicit negative sentences as well. Give
students a minute to look at the picture and think
about words they need to describe what the people
are doing. Then put students in pairs to take turns
describing someone or something in the picture.

Possible answers: They are waiting for the bus at the


bus stop. They’re wearing caps and waterproof coats.
The boy is watching a film. He’s got a big watch.
