    SOP FOR THE INTER HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION

    Rules and Guidelines for Inter House Quiz Competition


    Date of competition-19.10.24
    Classes-9 to 12

    1. Format:
    a. The quiz competition will be conducted in 4 rounds, including 1st round ( Direct Questions ) , 2nd
    round (Visual based), 3rd round (Audio Visual based) and 4th buzzer round (Direct Questions – Options
    will be not given).
    b. The questions may be in the form of multiple-choice, audio or visuals.
    c. Theme of the competition is India, History, Culture & Heritage, Sports, Entertainment, Science &
    Technology, World, Literature & Art, Current Affairs, Food & Lifestyle, Business & Brands etc.

    2. Time Management:
    b. Participants must provide their answers within 20 seconds.
    c. In case of no response or exceeding the time limit, the question will be passed on to the next team only
    and the team must provide their answers within 10 seconds.

    3. Scoring and Points:


    a. Each correct answer will earn points for the respective house.
    b. The exact scoring system should be explained prior to the competition to ensure transparency and
    understanding among participants.
    c. In case of a tie, a tiebreaker round may be conducted to determine the winner.

    4. Conduct and Etiquette:


    a. Participants must maintain discipline, sportsmanship, and respect for the quizmaster, opponents,
    and audience. If the team will not maintain discipline during the competition the concern team will get
    Red Card and it will be considered in the case of tie.
    b. No cheating or use of prohibited resources will be tolerated.
    c. Cell phones or any other electronic devices are not allowed during the competition unless specified by
    the organizers.
    d. Participants must raise their hands to answer a question and wait to be acknowledged by the
    quizmaster.
    e. During the competition, participants should refrain from any disruptive behaviour that may disturb
    others.

    5. Decisions and Authority:


    a. The quizmaster's decision will be final and binding.
    b. In case of any disputes or concerns, they should be brought to the attention of the organizing
    committee for resolution.

    These rules and guidelines are devised to ensure a fair and enjoyable competition experience for all
    participants. It is essential for the participants and house mentors to fully understand and adhere to the
    rules to maintain a competitive and friendly atmosphere throughout the event. Rules and Guidelines for
