Types of Pacemakers:
CENTRIFUGE
• Overview:
A centrifuge is a device used to separate different components
of a liquid mixture based on their density. This separation is
achieved by spinning the mixture at high speeds within a
container called a rotor. The centrifugal force generated by the
rapid spinning causes the different components in the mixture to
separate into layers according to their density.
• common uses of a centrifuge:
1. in laboratory: To separate blood cells, plasma, and other
components of biological fluids.
2. in industry: To separate oil from water, purify petroleum
products, and treat wastewater.
3. In medicine: To separate blood components for
laboratory tests or for blood transfusions.
4. In scientific search: To isolate and concentrate biological
molecules such as proteins and DNA.
• Types of centrifuges:
1. Laboratory centrifuge: Used in research and clinical
laboratories for biological and medical analyses.
2. Industrial centrifuge: Used in large-scale industrial
applications for processing large volumes of liquids.
3. Ultracentrifuge: Used for separating very fine particles
such as viruses and proteins.
• Components of centrifuge:
1. Rotor: The part that holds the tubes or containers and
spins at high speeds.
2. Motor: Drives the rotor to spin at high speeds.
3. Electronic control system: Regulates the speed and
duration of operation.
4. Containers: Vessels or tubes that hold the mixture to be
separated.
Electric shock device
Device identification:
It is a medical (therapeutic) device used to treat uncoordinated
heartbeats by giving an electrical impression to the patient.

Electromyography (EMG)
Electromyography (EMG) measures muscle response or electrical
activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of the muscle.
The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities.
In EMG During the test, one or more small needles (also called
electrodes) are inserted through the skin into the muscle.
EMG measures the electrical activity of the muscle during rest, slight
contraction and forceful contraction.
• Three electrodes are used in this device so that we can obtain the
signal from the muscles.
• It is a type of diagnostic device
