SEMESTER II/22
Writing plays a transcendental role in our lives and in various fields, whether academic
or work. There are many factors by which there will be a correct development of
writing. The purpose of this essay is to explain some of the causes printed at the time of
writing a certain writing. Although there are steps to give course to a certain writing, I
consider it important to make known that there are other reasons why it will give a
correct direction to our writings, first I’ll explain which role has played the writing
throughout my life ,second,I’ll describe all my previous experience in terms of writing
and its importance. Finally I’ll discuss some possible ways of enhancing the future
writing in a working or academic field.
Writing is a skill that is imprinted on us from our earliest years and later throughout our
lives, not just an important skill that is related to our work or academic field, because
many times, if not most, it is the central axis on it. Which others consider their learning,
their value, the emergence of ideas and the degree of contribution they have to society.
Quite apart from their academic or work employment, everyone must write so that there
is a real communication with their close environment or not, for example the writing of
an email, a commercial notice of a formal nature, a report to a certain organization, a
request to apply for a certain job, a statement from a communication medium or channel
or a message of condolences. Our writing skills determine whether we receive the
expected reaction from our reader. Asking us the following question: Did you have the
expected reaction, either acceptance or objection?
Writing is personal and has a certain style. It speaks for us when we are not present in
space and time. Writing conveys who we are, even after leaving this earthly existence. It
gives rise to our knowledge and all our desires from here on out being visible to our
immediate surroundings or not. Writing is the channel to detail our ideas to ourselves
and to others, that is, to our surroundings, keeping alive our personal experiences and
what has already happened. No one has a similar style to another or thinks in the same
way as another person and that is reflected in the writing. Therefore writing makes a
connection with yourself. Writing is not foreign, it remains and has a record of what you
want or want to communicate at a given time.
Writing allows you to broaden your horizonts in terms of who your recipients will be
since there will be some who will know about your writing and others will review it to
perhaps know your particular style of writing and will become new readers, in certain
contexts and warning of what is to come. . We must take this into account if we want a
script that follows the correct line. If the writing had a judicious prior plan, was written
with care, and made in a determined design directed at the intended readers, it remains
in the light of those who read it.
My personal writing experiences, I can recall many moments in my life in which I had
writing as a premise, perhaps above other language skills, either because at that moment
I needed to use it on a more daily or continuous basis. Many times I spent countless
hours thinking about what I should write or draft and I felt that it was not an easy task to
find the exact words to produce a coherent piece of writing. With guidance and practice,
I was able to improve my writing style as well as adopt my own and become a better
writer when it came to creating a piece of writing or bringing a certain piece of writing
to life.
In order to write correctly, we must organize our thoughts or way of thinking, explain
our arguments, present our evidence to support what we hold to be supposedly true in
order to lead our reader to a certain conclusion shared or not. . In case the reader does
not agree with this regarding the understanding he may have, he should be able to find
each of his sustained arguments to refute. Writing allows us to vividly recall past events,
describe a specific experience, or sell a vision. We must rely on critical thinking in its
synthesis and conceptualization, on clear writing through word selection, diverse
grammatical content, and on the correct exchange of printed information when writing
for the reader, not just for us.
The correct writing is directed and puts its attention on the reading audience. We will
adapt it to the medium: printed or digital? Formal or informal? light or with a load of
serious content? Verbal or non-verbal maybe both? This purpose is achieved if the
message is clearly communicated without ambiguity, however it is effective if one takes
into account that skillful writing gives rise to a response in the reader by stimulating
thought, attracting an emotion or recalling it and leading to action. It is the reason why
you read a book of your liking perhaps more than once.
Thank God, writing is a skill that can be learned at an early age, its improvement will
depend on how much time we dedicate to it.Reading a lot, that is, reading a variety of
material will help us increase our vocabulary and introduce us to different styles of
expression. If we read a word we don't know, we must go to a monolingual dictionary
and find its meaning. Our reading vocabulary is broader than the written one, but we
can work to reduce the difference between them by using the new words we learn
during the writing process.
Let's capture our ideas through writing. This will require strategic thinking in order to
close gaps and strengthen our focus and to make ideas clear. At a practical level the
more we write, the easier it will be to adopt a style of our own that is readable and
recognizable. Like all other language skills, practice will make writing easier and
effectiveness will prevail.
Direct our communication. We must take into account and prioritize our reader or
audience when writing. The careful selection of appropriate words and expressions and
the choice of length and depth suitable for communication will help discipline our
writing.Let's rely on good editorial staging in writing. Let us always periodically read
what we have written or drafted before sending it to others. Let's correct our
grammatical and spelling errors.
Let's check the organization of our ideas, the structure of the sentences, whether simple
or compound, and the flow logically in the paragraphs, in addition to the fact that
cohesion and coherence must go hand in hand. Will our readers have a correct
understanding of our message and will they have a response in the way that we expect?
Let's benefit from the answers and comments of our readers. The answers of the readers
bring us valuable lessons for our future writing.
From here forward learning from previous knowledge and experience to ensure
improvement in future decision making and thinking in practice and subsequent staging.
Writing in academic and work settings supports the improvement of decision-making
skills in a way that can inform practice in a professional context. The act of careful
writing creates self-awareness and understanding of our surroundings. It increases our
awareness of one's own cognitive abilities and the existing evidence of these attributes
or perhaps their rediscovery. Reflective writing can dispel personal doubts about
ourselves academically and highlight specific skills that may have been hidden or
suppressed due to previous assumptions about the strength of our academic skills, for
example, reading comprehension or problem-solving skills, problems related to certain
writings. Therefore, careful writing will have a positive subjective, that is, emotional,
impact on your sense of self-worth.
Apply knowledge and theoretical frameworks to real life experiences. Writing can help
us build an important bridge between theoretical knowledge and the real world. Putting
it into practice in writing can lead to a better understanding of the underlying theories
and their analytical properties applied to professional practice.
It helps those taking their first steps in writing to identify their implicit knowledge and
the possible gaps that may exist in that knowledge. Implicit knowledge refers to forms
of knowing rooted in prior lived experience, perception, and intuition rather than
formal, codified, categorical, or explicit knowledge. Using it, writing can encourage
students to question their beliefs or presuppositions about a particular research problem
or topic or element of course content beyond positivist modes of understanding and
representation.
