Name: Ian Dante A. Arcangeles

Year and Course: 1st Year/BSED- 1A
Topic: Seminar Workshop on Ecology Awareness and Outreach Program
Date and Time: November 27, 2018/ 1:00-3:00pm.

In my life I’ve learned that true happiness comes from giving and teaching .
Helping others along the way makes you evaluate who you are. Being able to help
is a privilege for us students for it teaches us how to become concerned to those
who are in need, it helps us to understand the spirit of compassion and to share
what we have to and abolish the selfishness hidden deep within us. As part of the
College of Education , we conducted a Seminar Workshop on Ecology Awareness
and Outreach Program at Preschool of Sofronio A. Cordovero Integrated School,
Barangay Jumaguicjic, Roxas City last November 16, 2018. Simple program was
organized by responsible students of the College of Education . We teach the
children how to read, how to pronunce, knowing the senses or the uses of
senses .We worked as one for the success of the activity. The lecture started in
9:00am, begin with a prayer, asking for God’s presence in the said event. At
exactly 11:00am lecture will end, some other children saying goodbye and thank
you, i saw how they enjoying with them, how to treat them as a like a family so
it's a part of my best unforgettable memories. Thank you.

In this beautiful day I realize that life is more on the happiness, compassion,
kindness and showing love to others. It is more like we are traveling in a straight
path which leads to our goal or ambitions in life. I believe in myself that I can
learn from other children or people from their own perspectives, emotions, the
way of life and their doings. I have learned so much things in life that I treasure
this first day of my life going to an Outreach Program at Preschool of Sofronio A.

NARRATIVE REPORT WRITING: BASIC RULES OF THE PROCESS OF WRITING
Posted on October 30, 2015 by Steven N. Sperling
Every student encounters necessity of writing different kinds of academic papers.
As a rule, every educational establishment has specific requirements for academic
papers. So, the current article contains discussion of narrative report writing.

Every academic paper has its specific structure and format that should be taken
into account in the process of writing.

The process of narrative report writing has a specific structure to follow:

Introduction. This part of narrative report writing should present the topic for
discussion. As a rule, the introductory part consists of one paragraph. It gives the
readers a notion of the basic discussion. You should include a thesis statement
into the first part of narrative report writing.
Body. This part of narrative report writing contains the discussion of the problem.
You should not evaluate the effectiveness of presentation in the process of
narrative report writing. You should not present your personal opinion in the
process of narrative report writing. You should describe and narrate in the
process of narrative report writing. Imagine that you describe what you have read
or seen. Present the story and images in your own words.
Conclusion. This part of the narrative report writing process requires presentation
of the summary and the final idea. It is preferable that the statements of your
academic paper were unprejudiced and clear.
Any kind of academic paper should be structured in accordance with
requirements of the educational establishment. With a view to the fact that every
requirement is a specific one, it is necessary to follow them carefully.
When you feel the writing process is over and you have completed the paper,
proofread and edit your paper.

Narrative Essay
As a mode of expository writing, the narrative approach, more than any other,
offers writers a chance to think and write about themselves. We all have
experiences lodged in our memories, which are worthy of sharing with readers.
Yet sometimes they are so fused with other memories that a lot of the time spent
in writing narrative is in the prewriting stage.

When you write a narrative essay, you are telling a story. Narrative essays are told
from a defined point of view, often the author's, so there is feeling as well as
specific and often sensory details provided to get the reader involved in the
elements and sequence of the story. The verbs are vivid and precise. The
narrative essay makes a point and that point is often defined in the opening
sentence, but can also be found as the last sentence in the opening paragraph.

Since a narrative relies on personal experiences, it often is in the form of a story.

When the writer uses this technique, he or she must be sure to include all the
conventions of storytelling: plot, character, setting, climax, and ending. It is
usually filled with details that are carefully selected to explain, support, or
embellish the story. All of the details relate to the main point the writer is
attempting to make.

To summarize, the narrative essay

is told from a particular point of view

makes and supports a point
is filled with precise detail
uses vivid verbs and modifiers
uses conflict and sequence as does any story
may use dialogue
The purpose of a narrative report is to describe something. Many students write
narrative reports thinking that these are college essays or papers. While the
information in these reports is basic to other forms of writing, narrative reports
lack the "higher order thinking" that essays require. Thus narrative reports do not,
as a rule, yield high grades for many college courses. A basic example of a
narrative report is a "book report" that outlines a book; it includes the characters,
their actions, possibly the plot, and, perhaps, some scenes. That is, it is a
description of "what happens in the book." But this leaves out an awful lot.

What is left out is what the book or article is about -- the underlying concepts,
assumptions, arguments, or point of view that the book or article expresses. A
narrative report leaves aside a discussion that puts the events of the text into the
context of what the text is about. Is the text about love? Life in the fast lane?
Society? Wealth and power? Poverty? In other words, narrative reports often
overlook the authors purpose or point of view expressed through the book or
article.

Once an incident is chosen, the writer should keep three principles in mind.

Remember to involve readers in the story. It is much more interesting to actually

recreate an incident for readers than to simply tell about it.
Find a generalization, which the story supports. This is the only way the writer's
personal experience will take on meaning for readers. This generalization does
not have to encompass humanity as a whole; it can concern the writer, men,
women, or children of various ages and backgrounds.
Remember that although the main component of a narrative is the story, details
must be carefully selected to support, explain, and enhance the story.
Conventions of Narrative Essays
In writing your narrative essay, keep the following conventions in mind.

Narratives are generally written in the first person, that is, using I. However, third
person (he, she, or it) can also be used.
Narratives rely on concrete, sensory details to convey their point. These details
should create a unified, forceful effect, a dominant impression. More information
on the use of specific details is available on another page.
Narratives, as stories, should include these story conventions: a plot, including
setting and characters; a climax; and an ending.

My learnings from today. We watched the video again about what reality are you
creating by Isaac Lissy a public speaker who is a blind person that he shared his
experiences, ideas, fears and reality on how we create our own reality. According
to him being blind is a blessing but he has a vision. It's all about accepting the
facts and truths about our own reality in life. Just like Isaac Lissy by sharing his
experiences he get from other people and also to his family. In the end of the
video, We answered the questions from the book by oral recitation. Expressing
our ideas, thoughts, feeling and actions that we relate to the video in our life. We
also have our own opinions and exchanging ideas so that everybody can listen
and apply it to their daily lives as a challenges. Lastly the important word that
Isaac Lidsky said we should all create our own reality by being positive and
avoiding negativity in our surroundings we should focus more on the bright even
though we encounter fears and lies their always a way to make that as our
experiences in our daily life.

In this day, Ma'am pacifico tries to replenish our understandings in that video she
shared to us in that last Friday in January 25. She started to make a group activity
which is about the Marcos Million and Duterte's Drug War: Manila's Brutal Night
Shift by Taffy Lerma. Ma'am give us decision to choose some of the questions to
answer by group oral recitation and me and my groupmates collaborate to each
other, exchanging our ideas and feelings we know from that video and. We also
discussed the TED talks and Critical/Creative Thinking in Today's Society what we
have learn as a group about Ted talks that ma'am Pacifico prepared another
group oral recitation. Lastly in the end of the group oral recitation Ma'am decided
to go on the another topic which is about watching some of the videos in TED
talks which is The "What Reality Are You Creating for Yourself?" (Isaac Lidsky)
then one of the groupmates prepared a video about that to present infront in the
class. While streaming the video in class we have learned so much in the video,
how the speaker speaks confidently without having sight but having visions. That
we create our own reality as our challenges and experiences in life.

Ma'am pacifico prepares a video about the sample reports and in the end of the
video ma'am created grouping to do an activity about the reports of in the video
and try to answer questions as by group in the book. In the end of our discussion
we officially finish our activities and ma'am gave us an group assignment to our
next topic about TED talks.
