LEARNING TASKS IN EDUC 7 FOR SEPTEMBER 13, 2024
In your own words, kindly elaborate the following:

1. “Applying Bloom’s taxonomy can help every learner, not just the gifted ones.”
This is not just beneficial for the gifted ones, but to every student, as
they can fully comprehend an idea. Bloom's taxonomy is an effective tool for
developing academic results since it accurately describes the learning
technique. Also, with Bloom's taxonomy, they can recall ideas first. With this,
learners will just analyze information first. Also, it is a good structure for
educators to use when organizing teaching and developing evaluations that are
related to the criteria.
2. “The ideas of Bloom work in all classrooms. Implementing these ideas can
greatly benefit learners.”
As educators, we all know that course-level would be tough to measure
precisely given that they cover the whole course's themes. With Bloom's ideas,
we can utilize lesson-level objectives to indicate the students' understanding of
course-level outcomes easily. We accomplish this by creating lesson-level
objectives that contribute to the course-level objective. Also, using the taxonomy
as a guide, students could set specific learning goals for each taxonomy level
and develop knowledge as they achieve them. Learners can be more engaged
and accountable for their education by having their attainable goals.
3. “Implementing the ideas of Bloom’s taxonomy can be done with activities that
require little time to prepare.”
As Bloom's Taxonomy promotes deeper learning by going beyond
surface-level comprehension, learners can still understand the activities at
every phase in an easy way. As educators we’re guided by the different phases
of Bloom’s taxonomy, we can encourage students to participate more in
reasoning, conceiving, and more advanced cognitive processes, resulting in a
deeper and more enduring grasp of the activity and the subject itself. Every
stage expands on the preceding one, bringing students from fundamental
knowledge to more complex thinking challenges. By simply using group
discussion or brainstorming activities, this might look like a little time of
preparation for educators but it has a great impact on the communication skills
and understanding of the students.
