Introductory Activity Activity: Creating a Foam Print
Instructions:
1) Distribute foam sheets, pencils, and paper to each student.
2) Instruct students to draw their desired design on the foam sheet using the pencils. Remind
them to press firmly to create deep grooves in the foam.
3) Once the design is complete, distribute ink or paint and brayers to each student.
4) Instruct students to apply a thin layer of ink or paint onto the brayer and then roll it evenly
onto their foam sheet.
5) Place a piece of paper over the inked foam sheet and press firmly. Apply pressure evenly across
the entire surface.
6) Carefully lift the paper to reveal the print.
