 Expand their knowledge on decimal numbers.
 Improve oral reading and comprehension skills.
 Be more confident in reading orally.

Lessons Learned/ Remedial / Intervention programs are designed to close the gap between the pupils’

knowledge and what they are expected to know more as well as the strategies to improve
the pupils’ skills. Pupils’ capacity to learn is different from others and is challenged more by
the educational approach we are now implementing. Therefore, pupils nowadays are most
likely to struggle in studying than in the face-to-face approach. Thus, teachers needed to
address these struggles of students by giving them remediation and intervention programs
which aims to help pupils deal with their problems and struggles. Knowing this, teachers need
to classify the problems pupils were having, the appropriate approach for this and materials
to use.
From this weeklong activity, the selected pupil, together with their parents/guardians
showed their support. Although the challenge with regards to communication via google meet
was real, the activity was pushed through with the help of calls and text messages. It was

learned that distance learning is not impossible. The teacher and the learners just have to be
patient, cooperative and supportive of each other to achieve the goal of bridging the gap.
It is therefore recommended that both parties – teacher and learner/parent - must work
hand in hand for the improvement of the learners’ skills. In this time of the pandemic, it is
doubly hard to learn and achieve the learning objectives, but with cooperation and
perseverance, nothing is impossible.
