A Challenge in Ranking Phrasal Verbs

Pinpointing the exact "most popular" or "most used" phrasal verbs is quite difficult. Their
frequency can vary greatly depending on the context (formal vs. informal, spoken vs. written, different
English-speaking regions).

However, we can provide a list of commonly used phrasal verbs that are frequently encountered in
everyday English. These are a great starting point for learners:

Here's a breakdown categorized by verb:

Get

• get up: to rise from bed


• get on: to board (a bus, train, etc.)
