HELICOPTERS

No. 4008-S-71

NOTE: The following description refers to Engine 1 as example (AMM 79-21-00,4-2). The same applies to
Engine 2 (AMM 79-21-00,4-4).

With this Safety Information Notice Airbus Helicopters would like to highlight the installation of the hose
assembly (1, Fig. 2) in between the elbow (2) and the thermal bypass valve (3).
While doing so, make sure that the hose assembly (1) cannot get in contact with the MGB support assembly (see
Fig. 1). This includes the possibility that in operation the hose assembly (1, Fig. 2) might swing or vibrate and – as
shown in Fig. 1 – thus might cause a damage on the MGB support assembly (refer to the clear marks).
For the check of clearances and interferences on the assemblies please obey MTC 20-02-01-603. In this particular
case the minimum clearance between a hose and a fixed part is 5 mm.
If necessary, the course of the hose assembly (1) can preferably be adjusted by the screw connection of elbow (2).
