10 mins Teachers’ Introduction Teacher’s
Class teachers will introduce themselves. They should share their names, subjects they Speech
teach, hobbies and two strengths they possess.
Allow students to ask questions and answer them within boundary.
20 min Students’ Introduction Teacher’s
Teacher will now as the students to pick up the pen and paper/copy they were previously Instruction
instructed to keep. They will all be given 2 minutes to write their name, hobby and two
strengths they possess. A random or volunteer student will be asked to share what they have
written. Then the next student will be picked and so on till everyone has introduced
themselves.
2nd period Ground rule discussion
8 mins The teacher will now do a discussion session with the students to set their own ground rules
for online classes.

8 mins Memory Game Link:

Teacher will now introduce the rules of a very simple memory game to the students. There h.mit.edu/pr

Note to the teachers: Once you open the link you will have the option to choose a level of
difficulty. Let the students decide the difficulty level of the game. You can play multiple
rounds if it fits within the time limit.

Teachers will move on to this new game and explain the rules. Different answer cards will be
shown to the students using a PPT or PDF (provided herewith) and the students will have to
find the appropriate questions to go with the answers.
After the end of the slides, allow the students to give you some answers to guess the
questions to, to make it more interactive.

Note to the teachers: In this game of reversing the questions and answers, encourage
different students to participate. Also encourage them to use proper grammar for the
questions.

15 mins Plan for class VIII:
Students will share their plans for the remainder of the session. Teachers will take turn to ask
different students to share. They will be guided to focus on their academics, physical and
mental well-being. They may also share some personal goals they hope to achieve.
2 mins Wrap-up:
Teachers will wrap-up the session by formally welcoming the learners to the session and take
their feedback and answer any remaining queries.
