Load Calculation for Slab Design
For One way, Two way and Cantilever
i. Dead Load(DL)=D x 1 x 25= …… kN/m
ii. Live Load (LL)= 2 kN/m
iii. Floor Finish (FF)=2 kN/m

Total Load on Slab= DL + LL +FF

Factored Load (w) =1.5 x (DL + LL +FF)

2. Self Weight of Beam
• Ultimate self weight of beam (B1)

Where as,
RCC Concrete density =25 kN/m3
b= Width of beam =300mm (0.3m)
D= Overall depth of beam
There for,
Ultimate self weight of beam (B1)=1.5 x 25 x 0.3 x D
Unit of self wt(kN/m)
3. Ultimate wall/Parapet wall load on Beam
• Ultimate wall load on beam (B1)
= 1.5 x Brick Masonry density x b x H
=1.5 X 19 X b X D
Where as,
Brick Masonry density =19 kN/m3
b= Width of wall =300mm (0.3m)
H= Clear height of wall
There for,
Ultimate wall load on beam (B1)=1.5 x 19 x 0.3 x H
