Game Of Chance Proposal

Overview of the game:

The drop-ball, also known as three balls, is a popular game in funfairs or carnivals in the
Philippines. This game of chance is widely known for its simplicity yet high level of suspense and
excitement. In the traditional version of the game, it involves three small balls that are dropped
onto a field of cards. The objective is to predict where the ball will land. This game is a popular
crowd puller, many find the thrill in playing ball drop because of its unpredictability and moment of
suspense as the ball bounces before settling on a card. It's an exciting game of chance that will
undoubtedly have you holding your breath.

Objectives of the game:

The Drop-ball is a popular game in funfairs and carnivals because it provides a high level
of anticipation, excitement, and pleasure in winning. Each drop-ball game has its own distinct
character that distinguishes it from the others. This keeps players' enthusiasm levels high as they
progress through the game's various levels and variants. The goals of this game are as follows:

● This game is a popular attraction in peryas, it serves as a source of entertainment and

enjoyment to the people. One of the objectives of this game is to have fun in your
experience and create lasting memories of playing.

● The game is designed to test players' luck and chance. The goal of the game is to get the
ball to land on the winning hole where you've placed your bet to get the winning prize.

● This game also encourages social interaction and friendly competitions. People gather
around the same board, cheering and encouraging one another as they take turns. The
goal is to foster a sense of community and camaraderie within the environment.

Mechanics of the game:

The ball drop game is a classic and timeless game in peryas. Not only that, but it is also
quick and easy to learn the mechanics of the game. The mechanics of the game are as follows:

1. Before the game begins, players place bets on which card they anticipate the ball will
land on.
2. Once all of the players have placed their bets, the game host will release the three balls.
The three balls will bounce and roll around the board, eventually coming to rest in one of
the holes.

3. Once all three balls are in their holes, the game operator announces the winning card and
give out the winnings of the players that correctly predicted the winning card.

4. The game can be played in multiple rounds. Allowing players to place new bets for each
round. The process is repeated to determine the outcome of each round.

Concerning the Senior High School Curriculum, the “Drop ball” game enhances the students’
analysis of data and statistics.

Showcase:

In funfairs and carnivals, each drop-ball game has its own unique features that set it
different from the others, and so does ours. Unlike typical drop ball games, our game includes a
variety of scenarios and challenges that force players to think critically and apply their
understanding of not only physics, but also statistics and probability.

In this game, drop ball provides visual representations and a realistic physics simulation
that helps players in collecting data. This data can be utilized to evaluate the ball's behavior and
draw statistical conclusions. For example, players can compute the average height of the
bounces, the standard deviation of the distances traveled, or the relationship between the angle
of impact and the distance reached. Furthermore, in this game, participants can utilize their
understanding of probability to forecast the likelihood of specific events. For example, they can
predict whether the ball will bounce higher or lower based on the angle of impact and the type of
surface it encounters.

.The Drop ball game seems easy at first glance, you just toss darts at balloons to pop
them and then win prizes. Beneath this seeming simplicity, is a complicated system of variables
that are affected by probability. Concerning the Senior High School curriculum, the “Drop ball”
game enhances the students’ analysis of data and statistics. It aligns with the SHS curriculum by
providing a practical context for exploring probability concepts in the realm of entertainment and
gaming. Beyond the carnival setting, the Drop ball game welcomes players into an entertaining
journey where probability turns what appears to be an easy game into a strategic and thrilling
encounter.
