    Objectives:
    Using of substandard working platform at the workplace can potentially lead to serious injury.
    1. To provide standard working platform requirements at all MDC projects
    2. To prohibit fabrication and utilization of substandard working platforms.
    3. To provide a clear guideline to avoid confusion in the implementation at the project level

    EHS Requirements/ Initiative:


    Standard working platform Requirements:
    1. Work platform shall be based on the approved design.
    2. Approved work platforms shall only be used based on the design capacity.
    3. Work platforms shall be use on a firm and even surface.
    4. A fall protection equipment shall be used when working at a height of 2 meters.
    5. Working platforms above 1.5 meters in height shall be fitted with handrails on at least 3 side
    6. All working platform shall be inspected prior to use. Scaffold platform shall be provided with
    scaffold tag and regularly inspected as required.
    7. Avoid stocking of materials on working platforms that can possibly lead to slipping or tripping
    hazards.
    8. All personnel involved in the utilization of work platform shall have appropriate training.
    9. Strictly avoid using of ladders as working platform for working on heights, ladders shall only be
    allowed to use for ingress and egress.

    Fabricated working platform design for Hallway and Balcony architectural and MEPFs
    activities. Made in fabricated H-Frame. Use G.I pipes for replacement of cross brace
    for support of H-Frame. We use cat walk working platform and step ladder.
    OPTION 2: HALLWAY AND BALCONY WORKING PLATFORM

    Fabricated H-Frame cut from original size


    and connected again to original parts
    using full welding to meet the required
    width. This design was made base on the
    approved shop drawing.
