What is Art History?
The history of art is as old as the history of
human from the prehistoric to the present times.
Early paintings of the cavemen to Da Vinci’s “Mona

7. Art History reminds us how very human we
are. Artists just like us are human being. Every
art they make is a reflection of how human we
are.
8. Art History teaches us how to solve problems
as artists have done. Architects and engineers
are artists too. Have we ever realized how our
life can be the same without them?
9. Art History boosts our imagination. It is
normal to have so many what-if in our minds
on things around us and processing it helps
us to be innovative and more creative.
10. Art History encourages us to be an artist too
in our own right.
The history of the world is similarly the history of
art, continually intertwined. For millions of years, as
humans roamed the earth, evolution, and
environment shaped many different cultures
depending on location, weather, natural resources,
and food.
These cultures formed the foundation of all art
today. Art appreciation analyzes art using the
methods and materials, allowing people to make
connections to the context of art and the interactions
of societies.
