Purpose:

The primary purpose of this teaching manual is to serve as a


comprehensive guide for educators in delivering effective and
engaging instruction. It aims to provide a structured framework
that aligns with educational goals, facilitating a cohesive and
enriching learning experience for on-line students.
1. Guide Curriculum Implementation:
- Offer an overview of the curriculum, including scope and
sequence.
- Provide sample lesson plans to aid in the seamless
implementation of the curriculum.
- Present clear guidelines for assessing student performance.

1.1 Subject Link Course Structure:

Subject Link consist four chapters, each comprising 4 lessons. The


instructional format entails a single lesson divided into two sessions,
complemented by strategically placed assessments throughout the
curriculum.

Assessment Schedule:
- Review Tests: Conducted after every four lessons or upon chapter
completion.

- Mid Term Test: Administered after Lesson 8, encompassing Chapters 1-2.
- Final Test: Executed after Lesson 16, covering Chapters 3-4.
- Presentation every after 4 chapters

Lesson Structure:

1. Vocabulary List:
- Introduction to pivotal vocabulary.
- Sentence construction tailored to students’ lexical proficiency.

2. Picture Description, background, (Discussion):


- Commence with a Warm-Up Question.
- Engage in Key Words and Activities.
- Reading Passage integration with audio support.
- Facilitate Reading Comprehension.

Write It! Course Structure:
Write It! comprises eight units, with each unit consisting of two
sessions. The assessment schedule includes a Midterm Test after
Unit 4, a Final Test after Unit 8, and a presentation.

1. Word List Discussion:


- Introduce vocabulary words and phrases.

2. Comic Strip:
- Analyze and discuss pictures/comic strip.
- Facilitate idea generation and expression.

3. Model, Analysis, and Sentence Practice:

- Conduct Sentence Practice and Organization.

4. Real-Life Writing:

Come On, Phonics Course Structure:

Come On, Phonics consists of nine units, with a review conducted


after every two units.

Lesson Structure:

1. Discussion (target letters):


- Introduce and reinforce target letters through repetition.

2. Activity 1 and Activity 2:


- Associate letters with corresponding pictures.
- Practice distinguishing target sounds and associating them with the
correct letters.

3. Activity 3:
- Conduct a comprehensive exercise for letter recognition, listening, and
handwriting.

Grammar in Focus and Grammar Space Course Structure:

Both Grammar in Focus and Grammar Space encompass 20 units,


incorporating Review Tests after every four units, a Midterm Test
after Unit 10, and a Final Test after Unit 20.

- In-depth exploration of words and their usage in sentences (parts of
speech).

2. Notice and Practice 1 and Notice and Practice 2:

9. DUTIES AND POLICIES:

1. Schedule is given every Sunday night at 10 pm.


1.1 Schedule may change so please check early in the morning for
full time teachers or at least 3 hours before your first class.
1.2 Make it a habit to check the “Changes in Schedule” group on
skype.
1.3 Download Skype on your phone for easier communication.
1.4 If you have questions with regards the schedule, ask Teacher
Ricky for clarification and do it ASAP. Do not assume
only ask the person in charge.

2. Changes in schedule:

2.1 Only refer to the changes in the schedule posted on the group
chat.
2.2 Once a manager directly messages you inform T. Ricky before
saying yes. (Ms. Yuna might have scheduled another student on
that time)
2.3 If the student or guardian wants to change their schedule,
inform them to talk to the manager first. Also, mention that you
will inform the admin of their request and teachers are not
allowed to reschedule classes.

3. Contacting students:
3.1 Be on time in placing the call
3.2 When there is no response from the student, send a report on
the “Teachers’ log in group”.
3.3 Call every 3 minutes for 50 min classes and every 2 minutes for
25 mins classes

3.4 See to it that you monitor the “Teachers’ log”, the managers will
put an update on the status of your student.
3.5 Follow the remark given by the manager.
3.6 When the student answers your call log (On [STUDENT’S
NAME])

4. Recording:
1.1 All classes must be recorded and sent to the designated chat
box. Send the recording right after class.
1.2 In case you failed to record the class inform the issue on the
“Video Group Chat”.
1.3 Check your recording from time to time. Some students stops
the recording for no reason at all.

5. Always share your full screen

6. After the class:


6.1 Once the class is done send your files to the designated group
chats:
6.1.1 Daily report (template will be provided), Finished files, and
Recording on the Teachers’ Log

7. Reporting:
7.1 Evaluation report per student is passed every end of the month
7.2 Template will be provided

8. Technical issue:
8.1 In the event that the teacher experiences a technical problem or
a power outage report it ASAP via messenger or text (T. Mel, T.
Ricky). If your Skype on the phone still works, put the report on
the “Teachers’ log”, and tag 1 of the admins.
8.2 Once you have fixed your problem- EXTEND the class to cover
the time lost.

9. Books:
9.1 Books are provided through websites
9.2 Teachers are not allowed to teach another book unless approved
by the person in charge.
9.3 Teachers are not allowed to write on the website, a paint file
must be prepared before every class.
9.4 For trainees you will be provided paint file on the duration of
your trial classes.

10. Book request:


10.1 Book request has a designated chat box where you can upload
your notes. (fill out the required information)
10.2 Books can only be changed by Ms. Yuna, in the event that the
student or the guardian requests a new book your only response
would be, “I will endorse your concern to Ms. Yuna because we
are not allowed to change books)
10.3 Once the student or the guardian confirms that Ms. Yuna
already agreed with the change and then you did not receive any
notice, confirm ASAP by messaging T. Ricky (screenshot the
message of the guardian or the student). Proceed with the new
book.

11. Salary and salary sheet:


11.1 Salary is every 2 weeks.
11.2 Trainees during the 2-week trial period will receive 150/ 50 min
class and 75 pesos for 25 min class
11.3 Regular teachers will receive 200/ 50 minutes and 100/ 25 min
class.
11.4 Group classes for novel and academic book have different rates,
depending on the number of students/
11.5 The salary sheet must be passed right after your last class
(Friday every 2 weeks)
11.6 Template is provided

11.7 A late salary sheet will not be accepted and the salary will be
generated next cut-off.

12. Penalty:
12.1 Tardiness, wrong book, and absences without notice are subject
to free reclass and a fine of 400 pesos for 50-min class and 200
for 25-minute class. All of which could be avoided through
communication and updates.
12.2 Constant tardiness and absences without notice will be subject
to suspension.

13. Holidays:
13.1 Since we cater to Korean students, we will follow their Holidays
13.2 There is no top-up on the Philippine holidays that we must
attend.

14. Leave of absence and leave form:


14.1 Application for leave must be at least a month or two weeks
before the scheduled leave date.
14.2 Application forms must be sent directly to Teacher Mel for
evaluation signature and will be submitted to the heads.
14.3 Wait for confirmation – refer to the leave chat box
14.4 Not all leave applied could be approved.
14.5 Template will be provided.

15. Benefits:
1. Monthly allowance of 1,000 for internet (with condition)
2. Perfect attendance of 300.
16. Bonuses:
1. Welcome bonus of 1,000 after completing the 2-week trial classes
2. Christmas bonus of 2,000 – Part-timers

3. Additional incentive payouts of 4000 pesos in June and 8000
pesos in December may be provided based on performance and
other relevant factors. – Regular teachers
