NOTES:-
1. The Notes in this drawing shall be read in conjunction with all relevant
drawings pertaining to bridge.

specified. Only written dimensions shall be followed . No drawing shall be
scaled.
3. The Contractor shall verify all Chainages, Reduced Levels, Co-ordinates
and Dimensions before work starts. In case of any discrepancy, the matter
shall be brought to the notice of the Engineer-in-Charge.
4. Safe bearing capacity to be considered in designing foundations for
abutments resting on rock/soil is to be verified at site by the Contractor
before execution in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.

foundations resting on rock, the same shall be excavated and replaced by
M15 grade concrete.
PLAN 6. In case of foundations resting on rock, the annular filling of M15 Grade mix
is to be provided upto the top of rock.
7. Moderate conditions of exposure have been considered in the design of
these bridges.
8. Bridge shall be designed as per IRC-6 loading.
9. 100 Weep holes at 1000 c/c staggered vertically and 2000 c/c horizontally
to be provided in front wall return wall above ground level.
10. The foundation shall rest on strata having SBC not less than 50 T/Sqm.
The foundation shall be embedded in soft strata minimum upto 1.5m and
0.6m in hard rock.
11. Lap length and development length shall be as per IRC-21(2000).
12. CONCRETE :-
13. Concrete grade for varies elements shall be design mix and shall have
minimum 28 days characteristics strength on 150mm cubes as follows:
14. (a) Foundation ,sub structure ,abutment and abutment cap M35
15. (b) Deck slab M40
16. (c) Railing and Kerb M-25,PCC-M15.
17. REINFORCEMENT :-
18. All reinforcing steel shall be High Yield Strength Deformed bars (Grade
Designation TMT-500) conforming to IS:1786
19. Before excavation for foundation for new construction check the existing
PLAN foundation from all the sides by excavating from all the sides and fill it by
annular filling from all the sides again.
20. Once above work is completed start excavation for new foundation rest the
same at the same founding level as that of existing pier or maximum upto
300mm below the existing founding level.Fill the gap between existing and
