Using the datum bearings in table 1 and the datum coordinates in table 2;

(i) Prepare a traverses bearing sheet;

(ii) Compute the adjusted coordinates of the new points by Transit method.

2. (a) Table 3 shows coordinates of two nown point A and B together with observed bearing to a
new point C. use the information to calculate the coordinates of C.

(b) Figure 1 shows a new point R to be fixed from known points P and Q by Thilateration.
Outline the procedure to be followed in determining the coordinates of R.

(c) Table 4 and 5 show trigonometric observations at K1 and K2 respectively for determining the
height of a new station H. if the height of K1 and K2 are 1310.701m and 1387.207m respectively,

determine the mean height of H, taking the radius of the earth as 6378 km and the coefficient of
refraction (K) as 0.056.
