Assume you have a server machine, where a RadExPro SL network license will be installed, and several
client machines where the software will be running.
1. Install RadExPro on the server machine, this will also install the HASP driver. Then install the SL
license.
2. Install RadExPro on the client machines, this will also install the HASP driver.
If the client machines and the server are all connected to the same Local Area Network, in most
cases this shall be enough and the client machines shall be able to locate and access the license.
If the client machine is located outside of the Local Area Network of the server, access to the license
through the Internet needs to be arranged:
C. In the menu select the Configuration command and switch to the Access to Remote License
Managers tab. Type the IP address of the server in the Remote License Search Parameters
edit field.
Click the Submit button. If the network works properly and the server is accessible, you will
be able to run RadExPro remotely.
Troubleshooting:
The software communicates with the license through the port 1947. Thus, make sure that this
port is open on both the server and the client machines. Also, make sure that the router does
not block this port.
To ensure that the driver operates correctly, try to open Sentinel Control Admin Center on the
server and all the client machines – for that, follow the step B of the instruction above. If the
Sentinel Control Admin Center page does not open on a certain machine, then either the driver is
not installed properly, or the port 1947 is closed on this machine.
If the Sentinel Control Admin Center opens on a client machine, but the HASP SL license key is
not in the list of the Sentinel Keys, try to manually indicate the IP address of the license server –
for that, follow the step C of the instruction above.
If, after following these steps, the key is still not in the list, then something is blocking the
communication between the client and the server. It might be the router not allowing
communication through the port 1947. Please contact your system administrator to help you
with this.
