Certificate in Teaching
International Curricula

The Certificate in Teaching International Curricula (CTIC) is a programme that


is designed to equip teachers with the requisite knowledge and skills to deliver
and assess international curricula both locally and internationally, introduce
teachers to modern pedagogical approaches that are learner-centered and
skills-based, as well as strengthen their capacity in the integration of ICT in
teaching, learning and research.

CTIC covers the following six areas of study:

1. Internationalism and International Education


2. The British National Curriculum (BNC)
3. The International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE)
4. The International Baccalaureate (IB)
5. ICT Applications in Education
6. Learner Centred Pedagogy & Practicum

Course Duration and Intake


• The programme runs over the duration of three (3) months.
• New classes commence in January, April, July & October.
Admission requirements

• School of
Individuals with a Degree, Diploma or Certificate in any Education-related
programme; or
• Education
Education students in their final year/semester of study.

or picked from the Riara University Admissions Office, Mbagathi Way
Campus, Nairobi.
• Duly completed application forms together with copies of requisite
certificates and statutory fee receipts (Application: KShs 2,000/= &
Student ID: KShs 1,000/=) can returned to the Admissions Office at Riara
University or emailed to [email protected].
