    RCM TEACHER CERTIFICATION

    Equivalent Standing Rubric – Practical


    Effective September 8, 2016

    Equivalent Standing is based on a combination of credentials and demonstrated experience with the RCM system of
    music study and assessment.

    Every application is reviewed individually. Teachers who meet the criteria in multiple disciplines (i.e. Piano, Theory, Voice)
    will receive all applicable specialist designations, and at no additional cost.

    STEP 1:
    ARCT in Piano RCM Level 10, Intermediate
    Training University Music
    Pedagogy ARCT Performer’s,
    Elementary
    Degree or Piano RCM Level 9 Piano RCM Level 8
    Credentials Equivalent
    or ARCT LRCM, or Pedagogy or Equivalent Pedagogy or Equivalent
    Teacher’s Equivalent Certificate Certificate
